We are leaving these pages up as a testament to the hard work and support of a community whose support and dedication are unsurpassed, anywhere. Moving forward, you can follow the Tasmania AFL journey at the handle above, and remember that together, you can get anything done. We are the team!

We've had to say "thank you" countless times, for countless reasons, since our launch on March 18, 2024. But to the Believers, we owe you an extra-special one.

Now that we've achieved our dream and launched the Tasmania Football Club, we’ll be retiring this page. But we still need your support. You can now follow us at our new page, Tasmania Football Club. And again: thank you.

If you can’t be at an event tonight be sure to watch the livestream!

Here's how to watch the historic AFL livestream for the Tasmania Football Club reveal tonight, including commentary from Damian Barrett and Riley Beveridge.

You can watch live on AFL.com.au or via the AFL Live app.

The livestream will commence at 5.45pm AEDT; studio coverage will start at 5.50pm, with the official live cross event to begin at 6pm AEDT.

To watch the livestream on AFL.com.au:

1. You will need a laptop or computer with internet connection.

2. Connect your laptop or computer to a screen or TV using HDMI or VGA cable. If you have a smart TV, you can cast to your phone using casting tools like Chrome Cast (note that if casting, your TV and laptop device will need to be on the same network).

3. Navigate to www.afl.com.au. The livestream will be promoted via an article on the homepage.

4. If the stream hasn’t started yet, you can stay on this page until the stream begins.

We recommend getting set up a little earlier to test your laptop and internet connections. 😊

You can also test video sound by playing any video on the afl.com.au site.

Make sure you follow the Tasmania Football Club for all club updates!

Since official launch events sold out, at least 18 venues have opened their doors to the community to come together and watch as the name, colours, logo, jersey, and Founding Membership of Tasmania's AFL team are revealed.

From King Island to Smithon and Swansea, these centers will be open to the public and streaming the broadcast in real time next Monday evening. Want to join? Find your closest venue here:

Yesterday afternoon we held our final Community Event in Launceston.

We soaked up Tassie tales of braving freezing conditions with hairdos frozen solid, enduring rain so heavy the umpire lost sight of the ball, and witnessing players lined up in cars, eagerly awaiting their turn for an interchange.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Community Events and shared their story.
