Hi all

Please don’t forget the Fishing Club presentation night. Sat 27th June so only a couple of weeks away. Night will start at 6pm out in the back barn area of Hinton Pub. All current & past members from last year are welcome. Food will be served from 7pm.

Hi all

Here is some info regarding entry into the Myall Lakes River Camp for our Men’s only ( Black Dog ) June Long Weekend Jamboree & Male bonding / drinking / & fishing extravaganza..!!!

Please make sure that if you are coming late of an afternoon / night that you book in & pay in the times mentioned in this info.

If you don’t you will be sitting outside the gate till the following morning.

Please pass this onto all members who are coming that don’t have access to Facebook.

Weather looking good until Friday as usual when the seas jump up to 4.5 mtrs. They drop off Saturday arvo according to the charts if you want to believe them. 😉

See all you gents up there for a cold one or two……your shout..!!!!☃️👍

Results from last weekends outing up to the Myall River Camp.

The outing was changed to an open outing after a bit of confusion with some great fish being weighed in.

Mens - Charlie Hunter - 187pts

Ladies - Jane Hunter - 22pts

Biggest Fish - Charlie Hunter

Jnr Boys - Kade Sales - 72pts

Jnr Girls - Pyper Germon - 50pts

A great family weekend was had by all who ventured out. Some nice fish caught outside. Charlie Hunter had a great outing managing a 3kg Lobster as bycatch.

The beach at Hawks Nest fished a little slow but the Streeter brothers as usual managed a nice bag of fish each.

Ross & Angus weighed in a nice mixed bag as well.

New junior Kade Sales opened his season with a 6kg Jewfish caught down at Newcastle Harbour. A great fish which i’m told took around 20-30 minutes to land on light tackle.

The next outing will be 20,21,22 of March…!!!!!☃️👍

At this stage we will be looking at an open outing, the beach may fire up a little earlier leading into the Bream season.

All the rivers will still have plenty of mullet & prawns so hopefully a few more flathead for the Estuary fisher-folk.

Just a quick round up of our outing last weekend. Great to have so many members turn up to start the new year.

Well done to all who fished.

Our next outing will be held at the Myall River Camp ( Bush Camp ). This will be an open outing so all keen members get up there to fish the beaches or the Myall Estuary system. If you cant get there then fish wherever the urge takes you & we will see you at the weigh in at the Victoria Hotel - 4pm on Sunday..!!!

The outing date will be 20,21,22 of Feb starting at 4pm.

At this stage we will be camping down along the waterfront so people can fish or launch boats while close to the water. The club will not book any slots so it will be a pay as you go at the gate on arrival..!!!!

We also commenced our raffles for the year on Sunday & these will be held every weekend from now on being drawn at 5pm.

Our club is travelling very well at the moment with a great influx of new members + support from the Victoria Hotel Hinton & all its patrons. Our comittee decided to donate all of last weeks raffle earnings to charity.

Our last prize in the raffle was won by Pat Adams. This gave Pat the great opportunity of picking a Charity to donate $1600 dollars to...!!!!!

Pat chose a few charities -

• McGrath Foundation Breast Cancer Nurses

• Mens Prostate Cancer

• Kids with Cancer

• Ronald McDonald House

We will over the next few weeks make sure that each of these charities recieve this.

Well done Pat…..!!!!!!!

Lastly Congratulations to our President Wyatt Lantry & his partner Sophie Brown they are expecting the arrival of a new bub in June / July.

In my opinion you can never have enough kids to dig pippies / pump yabbies / catch beachworms / collect firewood / get dad or mum a beer or clean fish……….so a big congratulations to you both from all of our fishing club family..!!!❤️❤️😘😘🐟🐟

Welcome to the start of the fishing clubs year….!!!!!!

Next weekend we will be holding our first weekend outing of the year 16th, 17th, 18th…!!!!!

Please fit in a fish amongst -

Priscilla Kiem & Brad Worths funky 50th Celebrations on the Saturday night. The fishing Club wishes both of their familys a great night. Im told -a couple of hundred will be there to celebrate at the back barn in Hinton..!!!!!

The fishing club wishes them all the best..!!!!😘

It will be an open outing where all of our categories can be fished..!!!

The weigh in will be at 4pm on Sunday the 18th. We well be also starting our raffles for the year which will be drawn at 5pm.

( Phylis Mate reckons shes got you all covered ) 😉😘❤️

We will have a couple of bonus weigh ins -

Biggest Blue Swimmer Crab ( Arm length )

And also biggest Mud Crab ( weight )

These will be $50 vouchers.

As usual we look forward to the start of our year & all of our members to show up.

We will be holding a meeting after this outing to sort out our outings for the year. We look forward to all input from all of our members to sort this out..!!!!

Possibly a weekend in February at The Myall Bush Camp or Barry Archers but let’s discuss all this at the weigh in..!!!!!!

Lots of news happening with our young club position holders in the club & you will all find out over the next few weeks their news..!!!

Hi all

A late post I know but sorry for that it has been a big week with our Christmas party coming up tomorrow..!!!!!

A very successful weekend last week with around 50 members showing up to fish on the Friday arvo & Saturday at our Lostock family outing…!!!!

Our Pres & others concerned had a massive night at the ACDC concert on Friday night but then still had the Plums to drive home from Sydney for a night on Saturday..!!!!

Comitment plus from them & their better halves..!!!!!

We once again held a live & dead fish category where you couldn’t fish in both.

We fished these as categories where there was no Men’s / Women’s / Juniors…. We all fished as equals….!!!!

Darren Streeter & Wayde Hunter finished in our live fish weigh in. So they got $100 each - tied at 38.5cm..!!!!!

Archie Greentree was only a hairs-breath behind them & he is becoming one of our most commited members who weighs in every outing. Without these young juniors weighing in showing commitment to the club then we are wasting our time. Their parents should be extremely proud of how they conduct themselves. So a big thankyou to the Greentree family for supporting us as much as they do. But what can you expect…….they have been foundation members here from the start..!!!!😉

We had 5 fish over 42cm last year but seasons change..!!!!

Sam Streeter won our weigh in at the pub with 1.3kg for his 2 fish total weigh in..!!!!

Great to see so many younger members at Lostock not just enjoying the fishing. But enjoying the company of their family & friends…!!!!

I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow for our X-mas party. There will be a massive raffle out the back from 1-4pm.

A big thankyou to Jye / Clay / Wyatt & the others who ran our raffle last week…..!!! Comitment plus from the lads who had another big night on Sat night but then backed up to make a few dollars on Sunday Arvo. Jye won the Mtr of meat but thats another story..!!!👍👍😉😉

We have a 10 ham raffle tomorrow drawn at 5pm..!!!

On behalf of all the fishing club comittee - we cant wait to see you tomorrow at our X-mas party..!!!!🥶☃️👍😉😘
