Home turf

Drove over 2,000 km and 20 hours to race round 4/5 at Esperance and Kalgoorlie. Felt awesome to be able to race the two locals. Especially with Esperance being my favourite track in juniors. Unfortunately we struggled with a rough track and the set up being a little off and didn’t quite get the results we were looking for!

We changed set up for Kalgoorlie! Which I was super excited to race and have the comfort of my home track under my feet! Which in all honesty was a massive confidence booster to be back there after probably thousands of laps I’ve done over the years! Sadly the bad luck followed us and we popped a coil in the feature and just ran out of noise!

Ten years ago a very Persistent 10 year old was lucky enough to get their first junior sedan for their birthday. And when I say persistent I mean, counting down every year. I’m sure my parents would’ve been sick of hearing it.

But here we are ten years later, many ups and downs. A lot of junked charades… one excel. Now a formula 500 and it’s safe to say you won’t be seeing me back in a sedan for a very long time.

We’ve been a bit inactive here lately, we end our winter season early to fix our paint job after crashing last season and just to go for a whole new look and well that took a little longer than expected…

We unfortunately missed our first country round due too a change of plans that were out of our control. But things are all a go for the two night show in collie next weekend and too say I’m jumping at the bit to finally get back in the seat is an understatement!!!

What a weekend!

My 6th state title, most importantly my first Formula state title.

Was as always a learning curve, trying to improve and get a feel for the open wheel still. Making heaps of progress and hitting personal goals. It’s not much yet but the main thing is getting seat time.

I didn’t expect to make the A considering we were just out there for the experience, but we scraped the bottom of the barrel and ended up off the back row out of 19th! Finishing with a DNF with four laps to go. We have one or two events lined up for this season before we jump into winter season at kellerberrin!

Biggest thank you to Alex for all the hard work he continues to do on the car, to Sharon for coming down to watch and help. As well as Sophie and Jordan for their help throughout the night and the whole Fraser family!

Yesterday we headed down to collie for the fourth round of the West Coast series! After a very long week with heaps of long nights to prepare the car after the damage we’d down in Pithara at the first round! With the new engine in we hoped all our problems would be solved! With the first heat seeming to run smoothly it went a little south in heat two with some problems.

But a big thank you goes out to Dave Hedington for lending us the parts to get it running smoothly for the b-main that probably was my best drive since stepping into a formula! As well as all the help over the last few months it’s been greatly appreciated.

As always a massive thank you to Alex Fraser for all the effort he continues to put into the car. As well as peter and Branden for the help the last couple of days and the rest of the Fraser family, Des for all the help when it came to sourcing another engine and parts.

We are taking a break over Christmas but will be back for the 6th round of the series at Moora speedway on the 16th of January!

With our season starter right around the corner, we are looking for a couple last minute sponsors. To jump on board to help throughout the season.

Kellerberrin was a roller coaster this weekend, with heaps of improvement in the three heats! As well as a ton of learning about the car and just my driving as well. Unfortunately two laps into the feature I was involved in and accident with another car.These things happen and I am just thankful the outcome was minor although I am looking at 6-8 weeks out of the seat! Thank you to Alex for building such an awesome car and helping me through everything! I would also like to thank everyone for all the support! Especially all my friends and family 💗💗 I couldn’t do it without you all.

Here’s some of our feature from our debut in the Formula 500 at kellerberrin speedway on the 1st of August! We will be heading back there this Saturday for our second run on the 15th of August!
