🏏 Exciting News for Our Community! 🏏
High Wycombe Cricket Club is proud to announce a new two-year shared-use agreement is about to begin with High Wycombe Primary School, giving our Stage 1 junior cricketers (Blasters through to Year 5) access to the school's oval and cricket training facilities.
This partnership has been made possible thanks to the incredible efforts of Kim, Kyra and Mason Clark, who successfully secured the grant via the Community Use of School Sporting Facilities (CUSSF) Program to replace the school's cricket nets and synthetic wicket. Their hard work has created a fantastic facility that will benefit both High Wycombe Primary School students and our local cricket community for years to come.
This agreement is about much more than having another place to train. It strengthens the connection between our club and local schools and opens the door to delivering community-focused cricket clinics, school programs and participation initiatives, helping even more local children discover and enjoy the game.
We're excited to kick things off this August, when we'll host our first event at the school—a three-week junior cricket program. It's the first of what we hope will be many opportunities to bring cricket directly into the heart of our local community.
The initial agreement will run for two years, with the opportunity to extend into the future, and we're excited about what this partnership can grow into.
We hope this is just the beginning. We'd love to work alongside other local schools to explore similar grant opportunities and shared-use partnerships that improve community sporting facilities while creating more opportunities for children to get involved in cricket.
