Life Membership is one of the highest honours our club can bestow, recognising not just years of service, but the impact someone has on our club and its future.

Tonight, we are incredibly proud to recognise Steve Mason as a 2026 Life Member of the Hervey Bay Seagulls.❤️💚

Steve has been instrumental in helping shape our club, from driving major projects such as the lights project, to strengthening our culture and creating better opportunities for our players, families and community.

Steve is someone who sees what the Seagulls can become — and then gets to work making it happen.

His passion, leadership, ideas and commitment have helped leave our club stronger and set a foundation for generations of Seagulls to come.

Let’s hear it for JOEY WITTEMAN — Coach of our Under 14 Boys!👏🔥

This award recognises someone whose contribution to the Hervey Bay Seagulls goes far beyond simply coaching a team.

Joey has shown incredible commitment, passion and dedication throughout the season, creating an environment where every player feels valued, supported and challenged to be their best. 💪

Under Joey’s guidance, our U14 Boys finished the regular season as grand final winners 🏆 — an outstanding achievement!

But Joey’s impact goes far beyond what happens on the field.

He has helped build a culture based on respect, discipline, hard work and, most importantly, enjoying the game.🦅

Joey is always willing to lend a hand, support other coaches, share his knowledge and give his time wherever it’s needed. He has also dedicated countless hours to our PULSE Development Program, helping players from across the club build their skills, confidence and belief.

He gives his time freely.
He leads by example.

The wait is finally over! Tonight we gather to celebrate the 2026 senior season.

Just a few housekeeping items before tonight’s event.

🤷Not sure what to wear? The event is smart casual and the RSL has a dress code after 6pm. Please ensure you follow it. Dress your best and have a great night!

🎫Ensure you have your tickets on your phone or available to show at the door. If you haven’t reached out for a ticket then unfortunately it is now too late. There are no tickets at the door.

🍻Doors open at 5.30pm, please do not try to enter the room before hand. The sports bar is next door and ready to kick start the night.

Congratulations Barracudas!!! Awesome effort!

Congratulations to our four Barracudas teams who took to the field yesterday in Gympie! It was an incredible day of football which resulted in three of our teams claiming victory 🏆✨

Excitingly, this was the first time in 10 years that a school has had four teams in the finals, which is a credit to the hard work and dedication of our student athletes and the outstanding support of our coaching and development team 👏

The final results were 👇

Karyn Murphy Cup:
🏉 Year 7/8 Girls - Barracudas def. Gympie High 40-0
🏉 Year 9/10 Girls - Barracudas def. St Patrick’s College 36-0

Broncos Challenge:
🏉 Year 7/8 Boys - Barracudas def. Gympie High 38-16
🏉 Year 9/10 Boys - Gympie High def. Barracudas 20-12

The energy was high and it was wonderful to see and hear students cheering on their teams and forming a tunnel for players to run through at the start of each game.

We would also like to thank the families and community members who travelled to support our players - it was fantastic to see the sea of blue across Jack Stokes Oval!

🏆 Our winning teams will now compete against the winners from the Sunshine Coast Competition next Term, in hopes of claiming the North Coast Shields.

Thank you to everyone who helped make yesterday such a success. We're incredibly proud of our players and their on-field efforts.
