Although the skies were grey for much of the day, the rain stayed away and everyone enjoyed a fantastic day of bowls.

The standard of play was exceptional, with many closely contested games throughout the carnival. Congratulations to Mal McLeod and Steve Gonczerak, who proved too strong on the day to claim first place. Finishing just two points behind in a very close second were Rob Passfield and Ron Johnson, while Trevor Allwright and Alan Pritchard secured an equally impressive third place.

A sincere thank you to our generous sponsors, Andrew Stevens from One Agency Fraser Coast and Clayton Hearing, for their ongoing support of our events. We are also extremely grateful to our wonderful volunteers who generously gave their time to help make the carnival such a success.

Special thanks go to Mike Walker, whose tireless work behind the scenes ensures everything runs smoothly, and to Danny for once again presenting us with magnificent greens. Finally, thank you to all the bowlers who supported the event and helped make it another enjoyable and successful day.

🔹 Mark Armstrong sadly went down in the Men’s Singles Quarter Final, but what a fantastic effort against a very strong field. Well done, Mark! 👏
🔹 Graeme Hooper and Tony Smith have powered through to Round 3 of the Over 60 Men’s Pairs Knockout. Keep it up, champs! 💪

Six Pialba players have made it through to the knockout stages and are flying the flag proudly! 👏

🔹 Mark Armstrong is through to the Men’s Singles Quarter Final, playing at 11:45am.

🔹 Graeme Hooper and Tony Smith have advanced to Round 2 of the Over 60 Men’s Pairs Knockout.

🔹 Catie Beattie and her partner are through to the Second Round of the Over 60 Ladies Pairs Knockout.

🔹 Roger Austin and Greg Byrne reached the Round 1 Knockouts, but were unfortunately defeated after a great effort.
