Swan Valley Football Club This is the official page of the Swan Valley Football Club. The Club won the premiership in its first year, defeating Parkerville in the Grand Final.

Swan Valley Football Club was formed in 1965 as the Young Christian Workers Football Club, playing in the Hills Football Association. Winning quickly became something of a habit with the Club, having won 24 League premierships in their 45 years of existence. Indeed, the Clubs League side made the finals in each one of its first 19 seasons. Over the years the Club has fielded teams in the Hills FA,

the WA Football Association, the Sunday Football League and now the Perth Football League (formerly WA Amateur Football League). The Club plays at the Swan Valley Sporting Club located at 766 Gt Northern Hwy Herne Hill, currently fielding teams in the PFL C2 League and Reserves, Laurie Keene Colts and C1 Women.

150 GAMES – WILLIS WIRINGI

This weekend we celebrate a fantastic milestone for player number 990 as Willis runs out for his 150th game for the Swan Valley Football Club.

Known around the club as the “Candy Man” for his legendary habit of selling lollies on the field, Willis has been a much-loved character and valued teammate throughout his football journey.

Debuting for our colts in 2014, Willis worked his way through the ranks of reserves and league before spending a couple of seasons away from the club, including a year with the Bencubbin Football Club where he earned the clubs Defender of the Year award.

Thankfully for us, he traded the backline for the forward line, where he truly belongs. Since returning, he’s continued to be a reliable contributor, bringing plenty of energy, experience and a knack for making things happen inside 50.

Reaching this milestone is a tremendous achievement and a credit to his commitment to the club over many years. He becomes the 63rd player to play 150 games for us and earn Life Membership of the Swan Valley Football Club.

Congratulations Willis on 150 games, Life Membership, and everything you’ve given to the Valley.

Round 10 Locked In 🔒

Round 10 is locked and loaded for this weekend as our senior mens take on Ballajura at home.

Our league side looks strong with Dane Begovich and Shane McAdam down forward.
Club legend Eric Burgess is back in the League squad with Jack Howard back for his second game with league in a year.
As usual our key-back men in Darcy Lane, J-Mac and Baron to play their roles.

This is set to be a great game ahead for this weekend starting at 3:05pm

Our ressies side is looking very very strong.
Club president Coby Freeman, club legend Jordan Boyd and silent assassin Jay McLean named in the back line.
Wild winger Blake Snell is back along side his dynamic duo Taz Venema and key ruck Errol Riley ready to dominate.
Also back in the team this week our midfield line up is a force to be reckoned with in Oscar Grundy, Riley Wingrave and Luke Alsford.
But looking like one of the best forward line ups you’d ever want in George May, Willis Wiringi, Aaron Opitz and our favourite high-vis guy Workshirt.

The lads take the field at 1:10pm and let us assure you this is the round to get around the boys.
Their determination is bigger than ever, their hunger to win is stronger than ever and all their eyes are set on winning.

Let’s get down and back the boys this weekend better than ever.
Then its party on for the Ladies from 7pm at SVSC.

On behalf of all of us at Swan Valley we would like to congratulate Lia Dak from our women’s team on making the 2026 Women’s state team.

Lia came to Swan Valley in 2025, from SDFC where she quickly became our key ruck and tall forward. Lia played in our winning 2025 grand final against Ballajura and continues to dominate and uphold our team in C1 this year.

Congratulations Lia we are all so proud of you and back you for this next career milestone of yours!

Ressies and League will take on Ballajura this weekend at home.
