🚴‍♂️ LCC WEEKEND WRAP 🚴‍♂️

These weekly wraps just keep getting longer as the club gets busier. It's fantastic to see Logan riders representing the club locally, nationally and internationally, while our social rides and club activities continue to grow.

🌏 INTERNATIONAL

Tour de Gyeongnam – South Korea

The five-day Tour de Gyeongnam was anything but flat, with riders tackling some challenging terrain across South Korea.

Representing the club on the international stage, Ben Carman played a key support role for the St George Continental Cycling Team, helping teammate Daniel secure an impressive 5th place overall on General Classification. The team also celebrated a 3rd place finish in Stage 3 through Tom.

Ben finished the tour in a very respectable 24th place on General Classification, while the team claimed 4th place overall against a high-quality international field.

A fantastic effort by Ben, his teammates, and the staff at St George Continental Cycling Team. Well done all involved!

🇦🇺 LOCAL RESULTS

Ipswich Friday Night Crits

Under the lights at Ipswich Cycle Park, Logan riders were once again in the action.

🥉 Matt Palm rode strongly to claim 3rd place in C Grade.

🥈 Dwayne Thompson continued his good form with 2nd place in D Grade.

Great work, fellas!

Queensland Time Trial Series – Round 3

Saturday saw Hugh Fyson line up on the Gold Coast for Round 3 of the Queensland Time Trial Series.

Hugh put in a strong effort against the clock and represented the club proudly.

Well done, Hugh!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT SWEATFEST

Round 1 of the LCC SWEATFEST Zwift Series kicked off with a fast and furious 20km indoor race.

Congratulations to the podium placegetters and everyone who jumped on the trainer and gave it a crack. We look forward to Round 2 this Wednesday night.

SATURDAY SOCIAL RIDE

With wet roads greeting riders on Saturday morning, numbers were understandably down. A last-minute change of plans saw members head down the V1 Bikeway before cruising around the university precinct for a few laps, avoiding traffic and making the most of safer riding conditions.

As always, the ride finished with plenty of smiles, good conversation, and a well-earned coffee, which was most welcome after a cool morning in the saddle.

Thanks to everyone who rolled out and represented the club.

MS BRISSIE TO THE BAY

It was great to see a number of Logan members supporting the MS Brissie to the Bay ride over the weekend.

Not only did they enjoy a fantastic day on the bike, but they were also contributing to a very worthy cause, helping to raise awareness and funds for people living with Multiple Sclerosis.

Well done to everyone who took part and represented the club.

🚴‍♂️ LCC WEEKEND WRAP-UP 🚴‍♂️

Another busy weekend for Logan City Cycling Club members, with riders representing the club across South East Queensland in both road and criterium racing.

MUZZA SATURDAY MORNING BALMORAL CRIT

Nic M and Rob C rolled out for the morning criterium action at Balmoral. While the podium eluded them this time around, both riders enjoyed some fast-paced racing, with Rob using the event as the perfect tune-up ahead of Sunday's challenge.

HAMILTON WCC SATURDAY ELIMBAH ROAD RACE

Hugh F took on the Elimbah Road Race in D Grade, lining up in a strong field of 24 riders. It's fantastic to see healthy numbers at local racing and great to have Logan colours represented. Well done Hugh!

MUZZA SATURDAY AFTERNOON UQCC CRIT

Matt P and Dwayne T backed up for the afternoon session, with Dwayne producing a brilliant ride to claim victory in D Grade and stand on the top step of the podium. Congratulations Dwayne!

MUZZA SUNDAY GCMCC

Known by many as a lightning-fast skater, Rob showed he can pedal just as quickly, taking on B Grade and riding away with the win. The result also sees Rob rocket up the DASH 4 CASH leaderboard and right into contention.

Outstanding effort Rob!

Congratulations to all members who raced over the weekend and proudly wore the Logan colours.

SATURDAY SOCIAL RIDE

Away from the racing, the social riders enjoyed near-perfect winter cycling conditions. A cool start soon gave way to a magnificent morning as the group rolled out from Loganholme, cruised through the canefields and enjoyed plenty of good conversation along the way.

The ride finished with a sensational breakfast courtesy of the team at Clouds on Belbora, capping off another great club morning.

The Tour de Gyeongnam is a UCI Asia Tour international road cycling race held from 9–13 June 2026, attracting approximately 250 elite cyclists from 25 international teams competing across a challenging 510km stage race.

Representing the Logan City Cycling Club on the international stage is a tremendous achievement and a testament to Ben's dedication, hard work, and commitment to the sport.
