Golf last Thursday was enjoyed by eight players. The course is still holding well, though after the last lot of rain the ball run might be stalled for a couple of weeks. The winner was Richard with 19 pts followed closely by Sandy on 18. The Bakery Naga went to Connie. The day before Jane & Linda played at Howlong in there 4B tournament and had a great day, well done ladies. Summer Captain Peter is taking a break so Sandy will be Captain, with Alison & Richard helping out. This Thursday will be 9 holes at 9am at gate, See you then. ⛳️🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️☕️

On Thursday the Henty women had there end of season get together to celebrate a great golf season. Presentation of trophies were given to the winners. Linda is the Champion of 2021 after having a great year, well done Linda. Thanks everyone for coming to lunch and was exciting catching up with some past golfers too. See you all for an even better 2022 golf season, and hopefully No Covid!!!! 🤞🏌️‍♀️🥂🏆

Thursday golf saw 10 golfers play 9 holes in beautiful sunny weather. The course is starting to dry out and that means more run, which favours a few players. There was a four way count back for the winner, with Peter, Connie, Helen & Alison having 18 pts. Peter won with Alison coming second. Great golf everyone!! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️⛳️

Eight ladies and three men played a stroke round of 9 holes last Thursday. It was Helen Parkers day. Helen had 35 points and the R/up again was Heather Beattie with 38 ½. Then the NTP went to Helen Parker on the 7th, Well done Helen. The Coffee Award went to Ellen Pratt because she is a good sport. The mens event went to Peter Skeers with 36. Out on the course Janet Beverly on the 6th really tested her skills. Janet had a lovely little nest for her ball…the base of the tree. Don’t know how she hit it!!! On the 7th, the dam came into play for Richard Fifield, 2 balls into the dam. Neil Parker was the same but when he tried to hit over the dam for the third time, Neil walked the water and tried to clean up the mother duck, but she was too smart for Neil. Next week we play 9 holes.
On the 30th October at 2.30pm we will play 9 holes followed by a BBQ and our combined Presentation Night. So keep date in mind.

Jane, Linda and Sandy played off for the Medal of Medals Trophy this morning in absolute beautiful weather. Anticipating a high stand competitive game turned quickly into a not very high standard at all!!
All started on the first hole with all three players, Sandy out of bounds first shot and the wet green grass was too good for all. It all came down to the last putt, with Linda winning by one shot over Jane and Sandy coming in third. All our last putts went in, pity it didn’t happen for the other 17 holes. That’s our last competition game for 2021 so well done Linda!!

Last Thursday there was only four ladies and three men and it was such a beautiful day. Alison Campbell played 9 holes later. But it was Heather Beattie’s day. Heather won the Stableford Event with 35 points and 95 off the stick, then she had the hide to win NTP 2nd shot on the 8th. Well done Heather. Think it was the company too as Richard Fifield had a day out and won the men’s event with 36 points. The Coffee Award went to Jane Yates because “Never you mind”!!!!! On the first nine Carole Singe hit nearly every tree on the course and one poor tree twice but she had a friend in Marlene Skeers who found the trees too. Alison Campbell found the dam on the 7th with one ball and Carole Singe 2 balls. I think you could let a bit of water out Peter. Richard Fifield had a 5 on the 9th which included a penalty and his putt went passed the hole couple of inches then came back and went in. Richard you must have called that little ball something but was a good shot. The Mossies on the 5th were bad again. Look out summer. So see you all next week at 9.30am for a 10am hit off if it’s not raining!! CS ⛳️🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️
