Woodbridge Thoroughbreds ( and are proud to celebrate our homebred filly Talkanco (3yo by I’m All The Talk x Calianco) after her 3rd place in the prestigious $5 million BYD Quokka Stakes at Ascot on April 18, 2026.
Thank you to for a great ride with Talkanco finishing less than a length behind Group 1 winner Jigsaw.
With 2YO victories in the G2 Karrakatta Plate and G3 Gimcrack Stakes, Talkanco now boasts career earnings of over $ 1M from her 13 starts.

Talkanco is locked in for the $5 million BYD‑Quokka. 🐻

Owner Ian Riley confirmed on The Races WA Podcast that his star filly, last season’s WA Champion Two‑Year‑Old, will represent the Woodbridge and JLS Thoroughbreds slot in WA’s richest race at Ascot on Saturday, April 18.

A standout on this day 12 months ago alongside Jokers Grin, Talkanco now gets her chance to make the occasion her own and take the next step by winning The Quokka.

It will also mark the first-ever Quokka runner for the Pearce Racing team.
