Statewide Schools Knockout Football 2026

Today, the Lockleys North boys took on Woodville Primary in their first knockout game and produced an impressive team performance.

Playing on their home ground, the boys started strongly through the midfield and quickly set the tone for the day. Their effort, teamwork and determination were evident from the opening bounce right through to the final siren.

A highlight of the match was the way every player embraced different positions to help the team. They created plenty of scoring opportunities and celebrated in style.

The support from students, staff and parents on the sidelines was fantastic and provided a great atmosphere throughout the game.

The boys made coaching easy today, and I couldn’t be prouder of the way they played and represented the school.

The next round will be a much tougher challenge, but this group of boys look forward to the challenge ahead.

Gather Round 5/6 Football - Conclusion 🏉🔥

What an unreal experience for the boys.
Running out under lights at Adelaide Oval at halftime of the Port v St Kilda game… doesn’t get much better than that.

The boys split into two teams and went at it against their own mates in front of a big crowd and loved every second of it. Even the rain came down and somehow made it even more fun.

Super proud of this group. I’ve absolutely loved coaching these boys and watching them grow.
