At 21 years young, Port Command proved that heart, experience and good management never go out of style.

Ridden and owned by Paton Simpson, this veteran Thoroughbred stormed into Equimillion 2025 and showed the younger horses how it’s done, winning the Bjorn Baker Racing 1.10 m with a flawless double-clear and the fastest jump-off time of the class (34.68 s)

Backed up by a lightning-quick first phase in the Open Two-Phase (29.90 s), Port Command finished 6th overall in the 1.10 m Championship, the oldest but fastest horse in the field.

Port Commands x Paton Simpson 🧭🐎 2021 to Now!

Over the past five seasons, Port Commands and Paton have shown exactly what makes an OTT Thoroughbred partnership shine.

They came back into the big rings in 2021 and immediately proved they could handle pressure: six trips in a championship weekend, podium form to 1.15m, and the kind of mileage that sets a foundation.

By 2022, that foundation had become momentum: a three-win weekend at Hunter, a feature victory at the TSHA Nationals, and proof they could deliver across classes and formats. They weren’t just promising anymore, they were predictable contenders.

From there the rhythm was set: 2023’s campaign of consistent wins across Stonewall, Equestrian in the Vines, Hunter and Nationals; 2024’s peak volume with versatility on display at the TSHA Festival, Festival of Showjumping in QLD and a six-win Hunter finish.

Now, in 2025, the pattern repeating at Magic Millions, Equestrian in the Vines, Winter Classic, AELEC and Coffs, where they proved again that they can step into a big arena and leave with results up to 1.20 m.

📊 Same horse. Same rider. Any venue. Same intent. Same standard. A genuine racehorse who became a reliable, repeatable winner in the sport.
