🚨 CLUB STATEMENT 🚨

April 1st, 2026

Heidelberg United can confirm that we will officially merge with the Collingwood Magpies to form a brand‑new sporting powerhouse: The Heidelberg Magpies, effective from Round 4 of the 2026 AFL Premiership Season.

This historic move marks our expansion beyond the football pitch and into the world of Aussie Rules. The partnership also rekindles a unique chapter in our shared history, when we proudly competed as the Collingwood Warriors during the 1996 and 1997 National Soccer League seasons.

We are confident that everyone will be absolutely thrilled with this announcement and that there is definitely no reason whatsoever to suspect this might be an April Fools joke.

⚽ U12 – 1 Goalkeeper
⚽ U13 – 1 Player

Our program provides strong leadership, with a clear focus on player development and creating a pathway into the Victorian Youth Premier League (VYPL) and Senior Women’s Program.

🏆 CUP FOOTBALL RETURNS!

The New Balance Dockerty Cup is back, and after coming so close in last year’s final, we’re hungrier than ever to go one better. The journey starts this Saturday as we take on VPL 2 side Malvern City ⚡️

We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Malvern City for dedicating this fixture to Ange Goutzioulis and the fight against Motor Neurone Disease.
