Maroondah Volleyball is proud to host Para Sport Support in the delivery of Sitting Volleyball, creating more opportunities for people of all abilities to get involved in our great sport.

Sitting Volleyball is an inclusive and exciting discipline that welcomes participants with and without disabilities. Able-bodied players are encouraged to participate alongside para-athletes, making it a truly inclusive sport that promotes teamwork, skill development, and community connection.

We are excited to work alongside Para Sport Support to help grow accessibility and participation in volleyball across our region.
Whether you're new to the sport or an experienced player, everyone is welcome to come along and give Sitting Volleyball a try!

Maroondah Volleyball is proud to present the 2026 Maroondah Volleyball Tournament.

Celebrating 10 years since the tournament was established in 2016, the Maroondah Volleyball Tournament has grown into one of Victoria’s premier volleyball events, bringing together athletes from across the state and beyond for a festival of volleyball, competition, and community. Team entries are now open, don’t miss out, entries are limited and filling fast.

Congratulations to Hornbill Football Club who ran their inaugural volleyball tournament on Saturday. It was a great success, it was wonderful to see so many people come together for a fun filled day.

TRAFFIC NOTICE - SUNDAY 31st MAY

Please allow extra travel time when heading to Maroondah Nets this Sunday due to road works at the Canterbury Road and Heathmont Road intersection.

Works will take place from 7 am - 5 pm and will include:
 • Traffic lights temporarily switched off at the intersection • Heathmont Road closed on both sides of Canterbury Road • Detours and lane closures in place throughout the area • Reduced 40km/h speed limits

Please plan ahead, allow for extra time to your trainings and games, and follow signed detours where required.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these important road upgrades.

We are pleased to welcome Amelia Dell as the incoming Secretary of Maroondah Volleyball.

Amelia is a Life Member of Maroondah Volleyball and has been a valued member of the association for many years, serving on the General Committee since 2010. She has been involved as a player with Croydon & Districts Volleyball Association Inc since the early 2000s and continues to actively play within our local league competition.

Throughout her time with the association, Amelia has contributed extensively across a wide range of areas, particularly through her involvement as a coach within Sporting Schools programs, Spikezone (now VolleyKids), grassroots development initiatives, junior pathways and the Victorian Volleyball League (VVL) program.

In addition to her long-standing involvement within volleyball, Amelia brings extensive experience in management, administration and community leadership, supported by her Advanced Diploma of Business in Office Management, providing a strong foundation for the role of Secretary.

Outside of volleyball, Amelia has also been heavily involved with Scouts Victoria for more than 15 years, serving as both a Joey Scouts Leader and Assistant Group Leader. In recognition of her service and dedication to the scouting community, she has been awarded her Wood Beads and the Scouts Victoria Meritorious Service Award.

Amelia’s strong leadership qualities, organisational experience, commitment to community development and passion for supporting others make her an excellent appointment to the role, and the Committee is pleased to welcome her into the position of Secretary.

The Maroondah Volleyball Committee would like to share that, over the weekend, we received formal notice that long-serving Secretary, Catherine Gordon, will be stepping down from her role as Secretary, a position she has served in for more than a decade.

Since taking on the position of Secretary in 2011, Catherine has been a driving force behind the growth, stability and governance of Maroondah Volleyball. Her commitment, passion and countless hours of volunteer work have helped shape the association into what it is today.

During Catherine’s time as Secretary, the association has undergone significant growth and transformation. This includes the transition of Croydon & Districts Volleyball Association Inc to Maroondah Volleyball, the move from Aquahub (formerly Croydon Leisure Centre) to the purpose-built facility at Maroondah Nets in Heathmont, and the expansion of the association from primarily delivering local competition games to a broad range of programs and pathways.

These programs now include Spikezone, MEIV, Social Sundays, Victorian Volleyball League teams (first as the Croydon 36ers and now the Maroondah Cobras), VolleyAll, Little Spikers and the Maroondah Volleyball Tournament, all of which have helped strengthen and grow volleyball opportunities within our community.

Catherine’s approachable nature, leadership and unwavering support for players, volunteers, referees and committee members alike have left a lasting impact across the association and wider volleyball community.

We sincerely thank Catherine for her incredible contribution over the past 15 years and acknowledge her many years of involvement within the association and on the Committee. While stepping down from the Secretary role, Catherine will continue to be involved around Maroondah Volleyball through a variety of volunteer roles, along with continuing to play and coach within the association.

In accordance with the association’s requirements, the Committee will announce the appointment of a new Secretary within the required 14-day period.
