Sportsbet Bendigo Cup – Let's Go for the 3-Peat!

Heathcote Golf Club is officially entered in the Hanrahan Plumbing Community Club Challenge at the Sportsbet Bendigo Cup, and we need YOU there to help us make it three in a row!

Friday 2nd October | Gates open 6pm

Grab your Club colours — polos, hats, jackets, whatever you've got — and get down to Bendigo greyhound track for a huge night out. If our greyhound wins, the Club wins!

What's up for grabs:

1st place: $2,000
2nd place: $500
3rd place: $500
Plus an extra $1,000 for the club that brings the most members on the night

That's up to $3,000 on offer for the Club — a brilliant fundraising opportunity, and one Heathcote has claimed the last two years running. Let's turn up in numbers and make it three!

The Club was saddened to hear of the passing of Past Member Joyce Safstrom earlier this week.

Joyce made a wonderful contribution to our Club over many decades. She served with distinction as Ladies President in 1992 and 1993, and as Ladies Captain in 1987, 1988 and again in 2002.

Joyce’s achievements on the course were many, including the B Grade Championship in 1994 and the C Grade Championship in 1999 and 2012.

Beyond her individual success, Joyce proudly represented Heathcote at tournaments across the District and was a valued member of numerous winning pennant teams over more than 20 years.

Our thoughts are with Joyce’s family during this sad time.

A Service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at the Clubhouse on Tuesday, 28th July at 1.30pm.
