West City Crusaders would like to extend a huge thank you to Matthew Wearne as he steps down from his role as Technical Director.

Since arriving at the club, Wearney has played a pivotal role in transforming standards, culture, and performance across all age groups. His commitment to player development, coach education, and building a strong, connected environment has left a lasting impact on everyone involved.

Over the past two seasons, the club has gone from strength to strength under Matthew’s guidance, reflected in back-to-back 2nd place Club Championship finishes and significant growth across all age groups. Highlights include the 12 Boys going back-to-back titles, the 16 Boys completing the double in 2024, many of those players progressing to win the Youth Grand Final the following year, and our Men’s program returning to the top, claiming the title in 2025.

While we’re sad to see him move on, we’re incredibly grateful for the foundations he has put in place and the direction he has set for the future of the club.

We wish him all the very best as he continues his coaching journey and know he will have a big impact in his next chapter.

FPL 2 WOMEN'S GRAND FINAL 🏆

It’s all set for West City Crusaders vs SD Raiders Futsal Club in the Futsal Premier League 2 Women's Grand Final this Saturday at The Centre Dural Futsal Pitch 1, 2:45 PM! ⚡

The two sides first met in Round 1, where SD Raiders Futsal Club came out on top 2–1 and now they face off again in the last game of the season for the ultimate prize.

West City Crusaders produced a sensational semi-final performance, drawing 5–5 with South Coast Taipans before edging them 10–9 on penalties, after finishing the season in fourth despite starting the final day in pole position.

SD Raiders Futsal Club powered into the final with an emphatic 8–0 victory over Macarthur Quake Futsal Club, capping a strong season where they finished second, just behind the leaders on goal difference.

This Saturday, it’s all to play for as the fight for the trophy is on!

Saturday was Semi Finals day as well as the AWD Grand Final, all of our teams battled hard and gave good accounts of themselves. Well done to all of our teams ❤️🖤

12 Boys went down 5-4 on penalties after a 4-4 draw with Quake.

14 Boys went down 5-4 on penalties to Quake, scores were locked at 2-2 after normal time before both teams scored in extra time to send it to penalties at 3-3.

16 boys won 2-1 against APIA after extra time scoring a late winning goal after the game finished 1-1 in normal time.

Youth Men won 3-1 against Taipans after normal time in a highly entertaining match.

Open Women won 10-9 on penalties against Taipans, scores were locked at 4-4 after normal time before both teams scored in the 2nd period of extra time to finish 5-5.

Open Men went down 9-2 against Phoenix Futsal.

AWD played Taipans in the AWD final & won 11-2 to take out the championship title.

This triumph caps off a magnificent season for the side, who also claimed the Premiership, a truly outstanding year of Futsal. 👏⚽
