Honouring the Life of Ron Hayter

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Ron Hayter on 13 August 2026. Ron was a pillar of the Haven community and a much‑loved member of our tennis family.

Club President – an extraordinary 21 terms
Winner of numerous premierships
Community leader and volunteer – School Council, Hall Committee, and a dedicated Haven Tennis Club contributor

Ron’s commitment, leadership and generosity shaped Haven Tennis Club for decades. His legacy lives on in the people he supported, the community he strengthened, and the club he helped build.

Ron’s funeral will be held on Friday, 28 August at 1pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

🎾 BIG NEWS FOR HAVEN TENNIS CLUB

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that funding has now been officially secured for LED lighting across all 12 courts at the Haven Recreation Reserve.

This is a huge milestone for our club and our community.

A sincere thank you to our committee, members, and Horsham Rural City Council for the incredible collaboration and effort in bringing this project to life, along with support from Sport and Recreation Victoria.

This project will transform what tennis looks like in Haven—unlocking night tennis, expanding coaching opportunities, and opening the door for year-round participation.

More updates to come as we move toward delivery in 2027!
