❤️🤍 VALE JOHN BRACKIN 🤍❤️

The Fassifern Bombers Junior Rugby League Football Club was saddened to hear of the passing of John Brackin, one of the founding members of the Fassifern Bombers Rugby League Club.

John was a driving force behind the formation of the club in 1976 and played an instrumental role throughout its early years. His dedication and contribution to the Bombers saw him become the club’s first ever Life Member.

The club we are proud to be part of today was built on the hard work, commitment and vision of people like John, and his contribution to the Fassifern Bombers will always be remembered.

On behalf of our junior players, families, committee and the wider Bombers community, we extend our sincere condolences to John’s family and friends during this sad time.

Rest in peace, Bracko. ❤️🤍

There was sad news last week with the passing of one of the founding members of the Fassifern Bombers Rugby League Club.

The Fassifern Bombers first ever Life Member, John Brackin was a real driving force behind the formation of the club in 1976 and was an instrumental figure in the club’s early years.

Our boys are heading to the GRAND FINAL, right here at Hayes Oval on September 13, and we reckon it’s time to show everyone exactly what the Fassifern community is made of.
We want to see maroon EVERYWHERE.
Your house, Your business, Your front fence, Your street, your schools - Signs, balloons, streamers, flags the absolute lot.
Whether you’re in Harrisville, Peak Crossing, Mutdapilly, Kalbar, Boonah one of the surrounding towns… heck, even Ipswich get the maroon out and show us you’re proud to be a Bomber.
This is our home ground. Our community. Our players. And a chance to be part of a bit of Fassifern history.
So let’s give the boys something to see on their way into the biggest game of the year.
If you’re sporting the Bombers colours ahead of the Grand Final, LET US KNOW! We want to get around the community with the camera and capture as much of it as we can houses, businesses, streets, schools and supporters and put together something that shows the QRL, our opponents and everyone watching exactly who Fassifern is.

It’s a massive day of finals footy Hayes Oval Inc today, and our Fassifern JRLFC - Bombers are getting right behind our Senior Bombers Fassifern Bombers Rugby League Club - Seniors!

With a full day of finals kicking off from 10:00am, make sure you stick around for the big one — our Fassifern Bombers A Grade take on Norths Tigers at 4:30pm in the Qualifying Final! 🔥

We’d love to see our junior Bombers families on the sidelines, wearing the maroon and white and making plenty of noise for our seniors! ❤️🤍

❤️🤍WHAT A WEEKEND FOR OUR BOMBERS GIRLS! ✈️🤍❤️

Last weekend, four of our Fassifern Bombers girls proudly represented Met West at the Queensland State Rugby League Championships — and what an incredible campaign they had! 🏉👏

🥉 U12 GIRLS – BRONZE MEDALLISTS

Our U12 representatives Aleigha Purnell and Brylee Jackwitz were outstanding across the championships, playing strong, consistent footy and doing the Bombers proud.

The Met West girls started their campaign strongly, winning their first two games before going down in the semi-final. That result put them into the bronze medal playoff on the final day, where they bounced back and got the job done!

A fantastic BRONZE MEDAL for Aleigha, Brylee and their Met West teammates! 🥉👏

🥈 U14 GIRLS – SILVER MEDALLISTS & HISTORY MADE

Our U14 representatives Airlie Bone (C) and Ella Davis were outstanding throughout the championships, leading the charge and combining brilliantly on the field.

After losing their opening game, Met West had to take the long road. The girls showed plenty of fight and determination, working their way back through the competition to earn a spot in the 1 v 2 main event.

The final was tough, skilful and fantastic rugby league to watch, with Met West finishing as SILVER MEDALLISTS! 🥈❤️

And what an achievement that is — Met West has never finished higher in the 13/14 Girls age group, making this a history-making result for the team! 👏👏

⭐️ QUEENSLAND SELECTION

The celebrations didn’t stop there!

A massive congratulations to Airlie Bone and Ella Davis, who were both named in the Queensland team! 💪🏉

An incredible reward for the hard work, commitment and effort they have invested into their footy.
