That’s exactly why I created this 2-night coastal reset at Hill River, Jurien Bay.

From 27–29 March, I’ll be hosting a small, intimate weekend designed to help you slow down, reconnect and reset away from the noise of everyday life.

Set on a peaceful 8-acre coastal property, this weekend is about coming back to the simple things that restore your energy. Fresh air, meaningful conversations, time in nature and practices that help you reconnect with yourself. We even swim with sea lions onboard with Jurien Bay Oceanic Experience 🎉

Across the weekend we’ll move through guided morning sessions, beach walks, nourishing plant-based meals and powerful sound healing under the stars with gongs and crystal bowls, alongside the incredible Colleen Pearce Wellness Reiki Master and Sound Healer.

No pressure. No expectations. Just space to breathe, reflect and reset.

The Soul Flexible App offers online access to classes run by fully certified Pilates instructors and educators from around Australia. These instructors come from diverse backgrounds and training schools, but share a common passion for delivering high-quality Pilates classes on demand.

I’m really excited to talk with an entrepreneur that is doing something different by building a business online, where the potential is vast, but the competition is real! In this interview we talk about how Jodie is carving out a niche in her corner of the internet.

Posted • There are so many studios that claim to offer Pilates these days that it can get really confusing for the consumer. Pilates has evolved into many different styles and types and there’s no set rules for what can and cannot be called Pilates.

So without turning into the Pilates police we thought we’d share a bit about the types of Pilates you might encounter when you google Pilates classes.

CLASSICAL PILATES - the original method. Most true to Joseph Pilates’ original teachings which were known as Contrology. Uses all the Pilates apparatus.

STUDIO/CLINICAL PILATES - a contemporary approach, influenced by physios and anatomy. Focus is on personalized programming and catering to the individual’s goals. Uses all the apparatus.

PHYSIO-LED PILATES (often called Clinical Exercise)
technical focus, usually for rehabilitation. Often claimable through private health. Can be reformer only or other apparatus.

REFORMER PILATES - A very popular class style which uses only the reformer. Dynamic and challenging. Focus tends to be on fitness and flow over technical info.

MAT PILATES - can be based on Joseph P’s classical mat or be more of a pre-Pilate style of work out. Uses only the mat, body weight and sometimes small props.

TV SCREEN-LED REFORMER PILATES - clients pay a fraction of the cost of a normal class to not have an instructor but instead learn the exercises from a screen. Sometimes there will be a supervising instructor but they are not there to teach anything.
