Run during the school terms by our resident coach Julie Golightly, the tennis club offers professional coaching that is catered to all standards of tennis at a very reasonable rate. Held each Wednesday after school times, each coaching session goes for 30 minutes and times are flexible to be family friendly! Julie can also organise individual coaching to suit personal needs. Julie will be happy to answer any query and is contactable on 0418 145 028 or [email protected] . The Good Sports Program β Accredited Member
Sports clubs such as ours play a significant role in the community and therefore have a responsibility to our members and their families. In recognition of this, the Hamlyn Park Tennis Club is an accredited member of the Good Sports program. The program is run in Victoria by the Australian Drug Foundation in conjunction with VicHealth, the Traffic Accident Commission (TAC) and the Alcohol Education Rehabilitation Foundation. The program has been designed to assist clubs with the responsible management of alcohol and is the only nationwide program of its kind. As you may be aware, the Hamlyn Park Tennis Club does have a βLiquor Consumption Licenceβ and therefore is being pro-active in ensuring all members and visitors to our tennis club enjoy their stay and contribute to the friendly family environment that the club has worked hard to create! As a community based club we believe involvement in this program is a way for our club to promote a healthy and welcoming club culture whilst working to consistently meet our duty of care obligations.
