To all past, present players and members, it is with great sadness to inform you all of the passing of one of our inaugural Barossa & Light CA players Scott Christie.

Scott played for Hamley Bridge in our first two seasons back from recess, amassing 759 runs in just 26 matches over both A grade and B grade.

Although he preferred the B grade, his distinction came in the A grade where in our first season, he scored 498 runs including two hundreds, his 162* is still the highest individual score at the club. In the 2016/17 season his A grade batting average was Bradman-esque at 99.60, collecting the club A grade batting trophy in the process.

Though the circumstances of this incident is believed to be still ongoing, just remember if you’re feeling down, reach out and talk to someone.

RIP SCOTT
