The GDTA History Book is now available for pre-order. 🎾📘

As the 2025/26 season comes to a close, it also marks the end of the first 100 years of the Glenelg District Tennis Association.

To celebrate this milestone, a commemorative history book has been created featuring the people, clubs and moments that have shaped GDTA over the years.

A4 paperback | 150+ pages | Full colour | 200+ images | $30 per copy

Pickup is available from Glenlea Tennis Club, or postage is available Australia wide for a flat rate of $15.

The Beach on Tour: Renmark Edition ☀️🎾

What a beautiful Easter weekend in Renmark.

A heap of Beach families headed away for a few days of camping, tennis and the Easter tournament on the grass, and it really was one of those weekends that reminds you how special our club is.

The weather was perfect, the tennis was fantastic, and from the courts to the campsite there were plenty of laughs, lots of support, and some great memories made.

We also had some fantastic results, with Lily winning the 15/u Girls Singles, Lily and India winning the 15/u Girls Doubles, and Dean finishing runner-up to Ronny in the Men’s Open Singles.

A huge thank you as well to John and Debbie for all the work they put into making the tournament happen. So much effort goes on behind the scenes to pull together a weekend like that, and it was very much appreciated.

A special weekend away with an awesome group of people, and one we’ll all remember for a long time. Go the Beach! 🧡🖤🎾

What a beautiful night celebrating another season at our End of Season Presentations Night at The Boatshed. 🧡🖤🎾

It was such a lovely way to come together and reflect on a big season for our club - celebrating the players, the volunteers, the families and everyone who helps make Hallett Cove Beach Tennis Club what it is.

A huge congratulations to all of our award winners. Every award handed out on the night was so well deserved, and it was wonderful to see so much hard work, commitment and passion recognised.

A very special moment in the evening was the announcement of three new Life Members - Chris, Jason and Lesley. Such a well-deserved honour for three people who have given so much to our club over many years. The time, care and effort they have each put into The Beach has made a lasting impact, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they have done.

A big thank you as well to The Boatshed for hosting us and helping provide such a great setting for the night.

Congratulations again to all of our award winners, and especially to Chris, Jason and Lesley on becoming Life Members.

That’s a wrap on another wonderful season of Social Tennis 🧡🖤

Thanks to everyone who came out each week and made it such a great part of our club.

The biggest thank you of all goes to Lesley, because Social Tennis simply wouldn’t happen without her. Week after week, she is there making it all possible, and the time, effort and care she puts in means so much to everyone involved.

The Carps went groan.
They washed up on shore
with knees overblown.

They gasped by the river,
they squirmed in the sun,
like old battered fish
whose swimming was done.

With taped up hamstrings,
with limps and with gloom…

Senior Grand Final recap: we attended. ⚫️🟠

Div 1 Men, Div 2 Men and Div 7 Men all had their crack yesterday and while we didn’t come home with the flags, we did successfully keep the bar busy and put in a strong post-match performance.

The boys gave it everything right to the end, and making three Grand Final is still a huge effort. Not our day in the end, but regardless of the result, these teams have given the club plenty to be proud of and set a great standard for what’s to come.

Heads high, boys - the result doesn’t undo the work, effort and season that got you there. You left it all out there, and that’s something you should all be proud of. More than that, the way you backed each other, played as a team and got around one another all season says plenty about this group.

Oliver, Jackson, Mason, Bodhi and Blake came to play yesterday and delivered the goods in style!

The boys capped off their season with an awesome premiership win and made the whole club proud.

Big plays, big smiles, big premiership energy 😎🎾

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: DIV 3 BOYS ARE GRAND FINAL WINNERS! 🏆🧡🖤

Massive congratulations to Leo, Liam, Jack, Ethan and Andrio on an incredible Grand Final win today against Somerton Park! What a way to finish the season!

The boys dug deep, played their hearts out and came up with the win when it mattered most. A huge effort, a huge result, and a moment they should all be so proud of.

So incredibly proud of our A1 Girls last night. 🧡🖤

They went down by the narrowest of margins in the Grand Final, falling short by just 2 games - and what a fight they put up. Every single girl gave it everything out on court and played with so much heart, determination and courage.

To come this far and perform like that on the big stage was something special. You should all be so proud of yourselves - we certainly are.

The sun is up, the courts are set,
The biggest day we’ve had yet.

With racquets ready, heads held high,
You’ve worked all season - now it’s time to fly.
