Great day at Blackwood as the Kookas ran out to take on the Cockle Divers. The Kookas' usual warm-up of 1-4 beverages before the game had them ready to take on the Port Noarlunga Football Club Masters lads for a kick and a laugh. The ball was moving from end to end quickly from both sides, with some great skills on show from both teams. With the smell of the Blackwood AFL Masters BBQ blowing across the field, both teams were eager to get the game done and head for a light refreshment and a snag. The game-day bottle went to Pistol Pete for his goal-saving effort, leading the way as the Kookas' most mature player on the field. The gin distillery voucher went to the dominant forward Harvs, who peppered the sticks and even got a couple through the big white ones. It was a great day, and also a time to pay respect to the late great Neil Daniher, who was a close friend to one of the Kookas.

Round 5 sees us swooping on the Port Noarlunga Cockledivers, get on down to Hewitt oval Blackwood sunday the 31st of may at 3pm to see this great contest between two awesome teams.See you there 🫵
