🏉 HFC EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – JUNIOR & MINIS COACHES WANTED FOR 2027! 🏉

Hackham Football Club is calling on passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated people to express their interest in coaching our junior and minis teams for the 2027 season!

We’re looking for people who want to help develop young players, build confidence, teach new skills and create a fun, positive environment where every child can enjoy their footy.

Age groups we're seeking coaches for:

🏉 U7 Mixed | 🏉 U9 Mixed | 🏉 U11 Mixed
🏉 U13 Boys | 🏉 U15 Girls | 🏉 U17 Girls

What we're looking for:
✅ A passion for junior football
✅ Someone who encourages teamwork, respect and sportsmanship
✅ A commitment to helping kids learn, develop and enjoy the game
✅ Someone who can create a positive and inclusive team environment

Whether you're an experienced coach or looking to give coaching a go for the first time, we'd love to hear from you!

After some time away at Bridgewater FC, the prodigal son Derek Ellis is returning to the nest! Derek is an exciting backman with silky skills and great game approach, and we know he’ll be a solid addition into our backline in 2027 ahead of our 50th playing season!

As per club constitution guidelines requiring 21 days or more notice of a meeting being called, the Hackham Football Club advised members that the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on the following date;

📌 SUNDAY NOVEMBER 15TH @ 11am.
LOCATION: Hackham Hawks Football Club.

As per constitution guidelines; All executive and general committee positions are declared as open for nomination. All interested parties are invited to submit their nominations for positions by filling out the form in the link below, and sending it to the following email;

The boys are back in town, and they’re ready to get stuck into 2027 with the club. 🔐

With endorsement and support from the committee, we’re backing these boys in to help the club do big things amongst all grades next year, and we have no doubts they’ll do the club proud. Clubmen first and foremost making their transitions from playing to coaching, thanks Finchy and Jimbo 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

🦅 MALE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: ANTHONY DAISH 🦅

What do we say about a man who’s done it all, achieved it all, seen it all. We’ll find the words somehow. A homecoming a long time in the making a few years ago, after a few years away, wanting to make himself back at home with his beautiful young family, and he’s done simply that. He’s made Hackham his second home (Nikki, he’s ALWAYS here, come get him please) and he’s made every person who walks through the doors at home with him. No one is unwelcome to sit with him for a b**r, he’s one of the first to contend at every contest, and his 2026 League Medal, and his Best and Fairest award are testament to his character. A history maker.

A legend amongst men. After moving over to the club from Mitchell Park in what seems like just yesterday, Jacob and his family have made and incredible impact of the club and everyone around him. He’s our 2026 Captain, our Player Representative and he’s lead with grace, strength and the passion we expect from a player with his talents. Jacob has exceeded expectations this year, from his continued efforts across the playing field, management of players and we couldn’t be prouder of him. A truly deserving bloke.

🦅 SFL VOLUNTEER AWARDS: COREY AND HAMISH THE FATHER SON DUO 🦅

Alright alright, we see where Hamish gets his Lucius locks from! Like Father, Like Son, (yes Hamish, he IS you father), both Corey and Hamish have been awarded volunteer awards from the Southern Football League - South Australia during 2026, for service with excellence and commitment. Where one is, the other is never far behind - whether it’s playing C Grade on a Saturday with water being run, or Junior games on a Sunday with his Dad coaching his boy to success. These two are the epitome of what we want our club to be; a family friendly environment that encourages success and rewards effort and passion for football and giving back to your community.

Three cheers for the boys! Well done lads 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼🦅
