Can travel on request. Equine Bowen Therapy is non-invasive hands-on technique which triggers the body’s self-healing response, promotes pain relief and energy rebalancing. Bowen Therapy is highly effective in treat

ing both physical and emotional issues, ranging from acute to chronic. The technique addresses the whole central nervous system, and stimulates both the circulatory and lymphatic system. Using fingers and thumbs on precise points on the body, the therapist applies a rolling action which affects the muscles, ligaments, tendons, and fascia. As a soft tissue therapy, it ‘disturbs’ the connective tissue of the body. There is no manipulation or adjustment of hard tissue. During a treatment there are rest periods which allow the body time to absorb the information and respond accordingly. A treatment will take approximately 45 minutes and two or three treatments usually at weekly intervals may be required to achieve lasting relief. The treatment is essentially holistic, treating the whole body and is generally a pleasant and relaxing experience. Conditions that respond well to Equine Bowen Therapy
• Un-levelness, disunited gait or irregular action
• Uneven wear of shoes
• Sluggish lymphatic system or weak immune system
• Uncharacteristic change of temperament
• Deterioration of performance
• Muscle atrophy or uneven development
• Stiffness on one rein
• ‘cold’ or sore back
Benefits of Equine Bowen Therapy
• Increases blood circulation- return of venous blood flow, distributes oxygen and nutrients
• Assists lymphatic system, removing toxins, helping to reduce soft tissue swelling
• Relaxes and stimulates soft tissue and fascia
• Alleviates pain- endorphin release
• Relieves tension and eases stiffness
• Increases flexibility and suppleness
• Increase muscle tone
• Increases range and efficiency of movement, increases stride length and elevation
• Improves performance
• Reduces onset of muscle fatigue
Holistic Therapy for horse and rider
Equine Bowen Therapy allows the horse to perform it’s best for the rider. Likewise, by addressing the muscular stiffness of the rider with the Bowen Technique, the horse will appreciate a balanced weight on his back. Any correction of a horse’s problem may not hold unless the rider is also in complete structural balance. Benefits of Bowen Therapy of riders
• Reduces likelihood of injury to muscles, tendons, ligaments and joint capsules
• Enhances performance
• Improves position in the saddle through posture awareness
• In the event of a fall, the body is able to absorb shock and cope with trauma
• Reducing tension and increasing confidence

After one of our Reiners suffered a tendon injury at the start of the year we were fortunate enough to fall into the amazing hands of Crystal Austin from Essential Equine Therapy🖐🏻❤️

She will be supporting us with the NSW Reining Horse Association club show today at K Ranch Arena.
