Some Tuesdays you hit a 5kg sn**ch PB, other Tuesdays you are falling on your butt at 70%.
Don't worry, we still love you. The other lifters still want to be your friend, I still want to coach you, you haven't let your family down and you aren't a total piece of s**t because your lifts were off kilter today.
Sometimes we just have low days. Maybe your period is coming, maybe life is throwing you some massive curveballs, maybe your dog had puppies and they kept you up all night, maybe your kids are sick and maybe it just wasn't your day.
Feel your disapointment, consider if there is something you could have done better to prepare for your session, talk to your coach to see if there were technical faults but don't let yourself spiral into thinking a million negative thoughts about yourself just because you couldn't hit a particular number.
As a person who did this for soooo many years, I promise it will wear you down. It will make you hate yourself and hate walking into the gym.
Take the session for what it was, and start fresh in the next one. You got this, babe. Keep up the hard work.
