Your body doesn’t need the same thing every day.

Some days you want to feel strong and challenged. Other days you need to move, stretch and slow things down. At Liiv Well, you can choose what works for your body, your energy and your life that day.

Liiv Well's brand new class is SPRING INTO STRENGTH and it has already started to rave reviews! Think heavier springs, weights and a thoughtful approach to building strength. If you've been wanting to incorporate more weights into your workouts, you'll love this class.

POWER YOGA is back on the schedule starting this Thursday with our new instructor Sabrina! Sabrina loves teaching arm balances, fun transitions and helping people reach their potential and try new things. A great way to challenge your body in a completely different way. And don't worry, there is still savasana to finish

And there is another YIN YOGA on the schedule with Bonnie Wednesday nights, because sometimes a midweek stretch and reset is just what you need to get you through the week.

So what does your body need this week? Something stronger, something different, or a chance to slow down? 💛

Spring is here; and so is Spring into Spring!! 🐝

If winter knocked your routine around a bit, you're definitely not alone. But this feels like the perfect time to get moving again. September isn't about suddenly doing everything. You don't need to do a massive cleanse or overhaul every aspect of your routine; it's about getting moving again, finding your rhythm and adding some more energy and fun to your week.

We've got a HUGE month planned at Liiv Well; our Spring into Spring challenge, new classes, Reformer & Rosé, Pick a Posy, our Mt Cooroora walk and plenty of surprises along the way.

Swipe across for our September events and your Spring into Spring challenge card. Cards are at the studio, you can play along at home (join the private Facebook group to share!) or in the studio.

Save it to your phone, start ticking things off and see how many missions you can complete this month. Surprise challenges are announced on our Stories and in studio each week. There's no pressure to do it perfectly and tick every box (although it is totally doable and there are prizes if you do! 😂)

The older I get, the more my idea of what it means to be ‘strong’ has changed.

At 46, I’m not interested in exercising just to burn as many calories as possible, lift the heaviest weight in the room or leave every workout completely exhausted.

I want to be strong enough to keep doing the things I love; to be pain free, to keep my nervous system regulated, to have enough energy to get through my busy weeks; to be able to climb Mt Cooroora! (which is one of our community events coming up in September!) And I want a body that's still serving me well at 65, 75 and 85 and possibly even beyond!

For me, strength after 40 is less about proving what my body can do today and more about investing in living a great life and moving well; now and decades from now.

Most women assume pelvic floor issues means they need to strengthen their pelvic floor. But that’s not always true. Sometimes the muscles are actually too tight, not too weak. That’s why doing endless ‘kegels’ (pelvic floor exercises) isn’t always the answer. Amber, who’s an exercise physiologist explains it beautifully in this video.

Amber teaches Pelvic Floor Pilates every Tuesday at 4pm, where you’ll do Pilates exercises and work with both relaxing and engaging your pelvic floor.

Here's what separates people who get results from those who don't...

It's not motivation. Or doing the hardest workout.

And it definitely isn't being "naturally disciplined" (*that isn't really a thing)

The women who see the biggest changes are usually the ones who stop chasing perfection and start building consistency instead. They don't throw in the towel after missing a couple of sessions, they get back on the horse.

Because some weeks you'll feel amazing. But other weeks you'll feel exhausted, busy or just plain overwhelmed.

That's completely normal.

Because the goal isn't to have a perfect week.

The goal is simply to keep showing up.

At Liiv Well, we believe consistency will always beat intensity. Every class you attend is another step towards your future self; stronger, more confident and another promise you've kept to yourself. Those promises add up.

💛 Save this as a reminder for the days you don't feel like coming.

If you’ve been wanting to come for ages but feeling a bit nervous, anxious or unsure about Pilates or the reformer?

Then you should book in for the free 30 minute Beginners class this Saturday at 11am! We run these each fortnight for people new to Pilates or the studio.

Theres no pressure, everyone is new so we’re all is in the same boat! It’s a safe space to ask questions, to go slow and just see for yourself what Reformer Pilates is all about.

We keep these classes small so we can support each person who comes along. Most people who come just wish they’d come sooner! Book in through the Momence app or link in our bio

Each Friday for the next few weeks, we'll be introducing some of the Liiv Well Crew to you. This Friday, meet Jam (or Jamieson)

Jam currently teaches Pilates Strength Wednesdays and Fridays in the Liiv room (which is our mat studio). Jam's classes are fun, upbeat and challenging, while still being supportive.

Outside of Liiv Well, Jam works in childcare as well as looking after her own two kiddos. In fact it was her experience with Pilates after having babies that ignited her passion to start teaching Pilates. You might see Jam in classes, she still takes time for her own personal practice as well as teaching, so if you see her in class please say hi!

And you can book in for one of Jam's classes, or any Liiv Well classes through the Momence app or website

Happy Friday! 💛

You might walk into the empty studio and think, "Wow, what a beautiful space." We often think that ourselves.

But the truth is...

The reformers don't make Liiv Well.
Neither does the lighting; the mirrors; the floors, curtains or our decor.

It's the people who make Liiv Well.

It's the conversations before class; the encouragement during class; the instructor's dad jokes 😂, the friendships; the laughter; even the tears.

It's the support.

It's the community.

Thank you to every person who turns this beautiful space into something so much more than a Pilates studio. 💛
