The FM 100.3 Junior sports star is Joshua Bourke; he has recently been named in the Australian Under 16 Junior Polocrosse Squad. This selection follows a successful season, representing NSW at the Albury Junior Classic and the Barastoc Interstate Series in Warwick; on both occasions, his team was victorious.
Josh receives access to Global Coaching sessions thanks to Annyka Overton and a three-month free Gym membership from PCYC Armidale.

On the weekend Guyra had members playing at both Cunningham and Cubbaroo Carnivals.
Our members at Cunningham had a great weekend playing in the juniors and B Grade however unfortunately they didn’t come away with any prizes.
At Cubbaroo we had a little more success.

The Guyra Bears made the trip to Narrabri on the weekend. We had two senior teams competing on the weekend who had a lot of fun but the real stars of the show were the Juniors and Sub Juniors.
We had 9 junior players competing in various teams in the Junior Challenge competition and 6 sub juniors.
Grace and Harry were selected to play in the Sub Junior exhibition game on Saturday afternoon and put on a great show.
The junior competition ended up with Rees Farms (Cleo & Jack) going up against TWP Angus (Dion, Duncan & Pat) in the C Grade Final. It was a close game that saw Rees Farms coming out victorious and Jack being named player of the match.
At the presentation Duncan was named Best Number 2 and Jack awarded Best Number 3.
Liam was a superstar double up on the weekend playing in both the B Grade and the D Grade Juniors. Liam’s team The Lucky Ones won the D Grade and came runners up in the B Grade with Biamble
Congratulations to all of our players on the weekend. We look forward to the next carnival.
