Sunday 26th July 2026
First games proposed to start at 9am with last games finished by 3pm, for presentation at approx 3.10pm.

5/6s & 7s: $60/team - 6 players maximum (4 on the field and 2 subs)
8/9s, 10/11s, 12/13s & 14-16s: $80/team - 8 players maximum (6 on the field and 2 subs)

What an absolutely incredible day at the Gunnedah Mixed Junior Gala Day!!

A huge THANK YOU to all the parents/ grandparents/special friends who gave up their Sunday and cheered from the sidelines. Your support means everything to the kids and our Club ✨️🙏🫶

Thank you also to the Committees from all the visiting Clubs for coordinating your teams. We know how much unseen work goes on behind the scenes ✨️🙏🫶

To our incredible Gunnedah & District Soccer Association Committee and our helpers — thank you for the countless hours spent planning, setting up, coordinating and problem solving. Days like today simply do not happen without a dedicated team volunteers willing to give up their precious time. Seeing so many happy, smiling faces makes it all worth it ✨️🙏🫶

And finally, to all the players - thank you for giving it your best, showing great sportsmanship and most importantly having FUN with your mates. This is exactly what grassroots junior soccer is all about. When you are all playing for the CommBank Socceroos and Matildas one day, we hope you look back on these Gala Days with fond memories ✨️🙏🫶

Its game day!!

Despite the rain, the fields are looking great and we can't wait to see you all soon for another exciting morning of junior soccer 🫶⚽️

The grounds are muddy and the parking remains really wet. Please be respectful of our neighbours and come a little earlier in case you need to walk a little further. Where possible, please use the concrete ramp to access the Clubhouse.

Last weekend, our amazing Secretary Rach, proudly represented our Club at the Northern NSW Football Women's Leadership Program in the Hunter Valley ⚽️👏

Since joining our committee this year, Rach has been an absolute game changer! Her passion, professionalism and willingness to get things done have already made a tremendous difference, helping bring structure, efficiency and direction to our Club.

Rach has also taken a huge load off our small volunteer Committee, helping to streamline the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our club running and making life easier for everyone involved.

We're so proud to see Rach embracing opportunities to develop her leadership skills and bring new ideas back to our Club. We can't wait to see what else she will bring to Gunnedah soccer in the future.

⚽️ SKILLS & DRILLS / DEVELOPMENT DAY – JULY SCHOOL HOLIDAYS ⚽️

Gunnedah & District Soccer Association is looking at running a Skills & Drills / Development Day during the July School Holidays on Saturday 18th July.

Before we start planning, we’d love to gauge interest from our players and families to see if this is something the community would like to be involved in!

The day would focus on:
⚽ Technical skill development
⚽ Ball control and passing
⚽ Skills and drills activities
⚽ Game awareness
⚽ Building confidence and having fun

Would your child be interested in attending?

Please let us know by sending us a DM or emailing [email protected] so we can get an idea of numbers.

We are also looking for anyone with soccer coaching experience, player development experience, or strong soccer knowledge who may be available to help run the day. If you’d be interested in assisting, we’d love to hear from you as well!
