Grovedale Tigers

This is the official page of the Grovedale Tigers Football & Netball Club. The club was a founding member of the Geelong Football League in 1979.

The Grovedale Football Club was originally formed in 1908, however it underwent several changes over the decades as the district changed shape, the club competed as Marshall/Grovedale in the Geelong and District Football League until 1967, when it became the Grovedale Football Club. Until 1973, the club used the Recreation Reserve in Reserve Road Grovedale as their home ground, before moving to the current home at Burdoo Reserve. Currently the club provides an opportunity for young men & women of the community to participate in competitive football & netball whilst also encouraging strong ethics of teamwork, mateship and equality. If you are interested in taking the field or court for the Grovedale Tigers, please email [email protected]

If any new sponsors wish to come aboard, or advertise through this page, please email [email protected]

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which our club is located, the Wathaurong of the Kulin Nation and pay our respects to them, their culture and Elders past and present.

Check this out, Grovedale!

Becky Webster from the Geelong Cats AFLW team has given our club a special shoutout.

Let's get a big group together for the Cats' clash against Fremantle this Saturday afternoon. Wear your club colours, bring your family and friends, and let's make some noise.

The Cats are flying at the moment and playing some awesome footy.

Share this with your teammates and club mates and let's get a big group there together. The more tickets purchased through our club link below, the better our chances of winning the club prize and getting the chance to join the team in the rooms after the game!

Welcome to Grovedale, Jai Riordan!

At 18, Jai joins us from Torquay, where he spent the past two years in their Under 18 Colts Div 1 side, making deep finals runs in both seasons.

A midfielder who knows what it takes to compete when it matters, he brings finals experience and plenty of upside as he steps into senior footy.
Jai also has the club in his blood. His dad Sean played at Grovedale, making Jai one a handful of father-sons currently playing with the club.

Welcome home, Jai. We can't wait to see you in the yellow and black in 2027!
