Girls Footy is Back at Grovedale!

Looking for a fun and welcoming way to get your player involved in footy? The All Girls AFL Program kicks off on Friday 28 August at Burdoo Reserve!

It’s hard to believe this is the final week of the AFL Under 9s Transition Program!

A huge thank you to all the parents who have coached, helped out and supported the kids throughout the program. We really appreciate you all.

A special thank you to Grovedale Football Club for hosting the Girls’ AFL program and providing such a great opportunity for the girls to get involved and enjoy their footy. And thank you to St Joseph’s for hosting the boys’ program.

We hope to see all the boys and girls continue into the Junior Program next year. Registrations will be opening soon, so keep an eye on the Grovedale Tigers Juniors page for updates:

AFL Barwon Under 9s Transition Program -
Registrations Now Open!

With the 2026 Auskick season now complete, eligible players are invited to take part in the AFL Barwon Under 9s Transition Program.
This 4-week program provides a great introduction to junior football and helps prepare players for Under 9s football next season

✅ Included in your Auskick registration
✅ No additional cost
✅ One game per week across 4 weeks
✅ Great preparation for Under 9s football

📅 Fridays: 31 July, 7 August, 14 August & 21 August
⏰ From 4:30pm
📍 Grovedale Girls teams will play at Burdoo Reserve
📍 Grovedale Mixed teams will play at Drew Reserve, Geelong

What a way to finish the season for our brand new Superkick players!

They had the opportunity to showcase all the skills and development they’ve worked so hard on this season, playing a mini match at half time on our very own Grovedale main oval during the Grovedale Tigers vs St Joseph’s game.

The atmosphere was unreal with Grovey putting on a great first half before our Superkickers took centre stage and they did a brilliant job!

To top it off, they lined up afterwards to high five and cheer the senior players back onto the ground for the second half, the same players who have supported them all season and volunteered their time each week to help out.

A fantastic experience and such a special way to wrap up the year!

🏉 Superkick Half Time Mini Match 🏉

We’re excited to have our Superkick players taking part in a half time mini match this Saturday at the Grovedale Tigers v St Joeys game!

It’s always a fantastic opportunity for the kids to get out on the ground, showcase their skills, and experience the excitement of game day alongside the senior match.

We can’t wait to see them out there enjoying themselves and giving it their all 💙❤️
