💚🎾 Vale Lorna Munk

St Patrick’s Tennis Club is deeply saddened by the passing of our much-loved Life Member, Lorna Munk.

Lorna was a wonderful club member whose love of tennis, generosity and commitment to our club will be remembered for many years to come. A member at Diggerville from the early 1980s before becoming part of the St Patrick’s Tennis Club family, Lorna was a familiar and valued face on court, representing the club in Tuesday and Saturday pennant.

She particularly loved Country Week, and was always willing to lend a hand — volunteering at working bees, supporting fundraising and contributing in so many ways to the tennis community she loved.

Lorna was presented with her Life Membership on 1 July 2007 at the Commercial Club, with the honour presented by Australian tennis legend Margaret Court.

Her contribution went far beyond the tennis court. She was a wonderful friend, teammate and club member, and will be greatly missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

Our deepest sympathies and prayers go to Brendan, Kara and the Munk and Smith families at this very sad time.

Rest peacefully, Lorna. Your place in the St Patrick’s Tennis Club family will always remain. 💚🎾
