📣 GWS Giants Player Visit

We’re excited to announce that GWS Giants players will be visiting our club next Wednesday, 1 July, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at Goanna Park.

Which players will be attending? We don’t know yet — that’s part of the surprise! 🎉

This is a fantastic opportunity for our players and families to meet some Giants stars, ask questions, and be part of a special club event.

🏉 Round 9 Recap 🏉

💙U9s
Round 9 the Goanna under 9’s we headed off into the leafy suburb of Baulkham Hills against the Hawks.
Another week of training with Ally is showing massive benefits on the pitch with the team really gelling together and moving the ball around to see goals being kicked, behinds being scored and a defence line stronger than the Great Wall of China!
Seeing this team from pre-season to now with improvement across the park is exciting to see what the next game will bring.
Next Sunday we are back at home against the Penrith Giants time to show how much we have improved since round 1 😀

💛U12s
Round 9 sees us heading Nth West along the M4 towards Bensons Lane for our match against Hawkesbury Saints.
Both teams come into this game vying for spots in the finals and they did not disappoint.
After a slow start with not alot of scoring, both teams turned it up a notch and the goals started coming.
An amazing calibre of football on display with the Goeys taking the win by 27 points.
Final Score Greystanes 7.6.48
Hawkesbury 3.3.21

🦎U13s
It was a beautiful day for footy but that’s where it ended for us Goannas. Mid season injuries left us with 15 on the field against a full bulldogs squad. It was always going to be tough after that. We came out strong for the 1st quarter and matched it with the bulldogs going in down 13 - 6 at quarter time.
The 2nd quarter fatigue was starting to set in and the bulldogs took full control of the game. Our Goannas trying their hearts out just couldnt match it with them. Bulldogs up 42- 7 at the main break.
The 3rd quarter again we matched it with bulldogs for most of the quarter, limiting the scoring and in the 4th the Goannas simply had very little left in the tanks and couldn’t contain a free running bulldogs squad. Final score Bulldogs 85 Goannas 11. Our hearts were in it until the end but fatigue got the better of us. Full marks to the bulldogs who executed a great game plan perfectly.
We have our bye next round to regroup and come back stronger for it.

Round 8 the mighty Goanna under 9’s were back at home against Kellyville/Rouse Hill.
After having a washout round and week off due to school holidays all the parents and kids were keen to get the energy back on the pitch.
The team had another solid game in wet conditions with rain for the whole game - great defence across the park with passes hitting the mark we are seeing the team play as a team each week.
Ally is ready to put the team through their paces at training and our defence into attack. Next week we head to Baulkham Hills against the Hawks

💛U12s
Round 8 sees us back at home at Goanna Park in a rainy encounter against Ingleburn Magpies.
Our little legends shot to the lead with 4 unanswered goals in the first quarter before the rain hit.
Scoring was difficult for both teams but overall a very enjoyable game to watch.
Greystanes running out winners 8.9.57-0.4.4.
A perfect result to celebrate Xaviers 50th game.

🦎U13s
Well that was a game of 3 quarters to 1. Moore Park played a very smart game and were definitely there to play. The first quarter was a real battle through the middle. Moore Park getting a late goal to lead 6 - 0 at the break.
The 2nd was much of the same with the tigers going in to half time with an 18 - 0 lead.
The Goannas rallied in the 3rd but once again let a late goal in. At the final change it was Moore park 24, Goannas 7
The last quarter was all the Goannas but to the tigers credit they held on for a hard fought 24 - 21 win.
Thankyou to Kane and Harry for backing up from the 12s. They played awesome and never looked out of place. Onwards and upwards to next week.
