As an update to the February Program - Air Rifle on the 6th will be cancelled as our volunteers to run the shoot will be interstate. The next air rifle match will return on Friday the 13th of February. Sorry for any inconvenience.

2026 South Australian Duck Season Announcement!

The Conservation and Hunting Alliance of South Australia (CHASA) would like to congratulate the Government of South Australia and the Department of Environment and Water for announcing the 2026 open season.

Today's notification is an opportunity to celebrate the robust government processes that South Australians are able to enjoy , which have seen another sustainable season set.
The community of South Australia appreciates the commitment to stakeholder engagement and the use of best available science to make these important decisions.

Key conditions the 2026 season will be conducted under are;

Opening Date Saturday 21st March
Closing Date Sunday 28th June
Hunting times Sunrise to Sunset

Bag Limits: 8 birds per day

The next couple of days are going to be hot. As a reminder of the clubs hot weather policy

If the temperature forecast at Elizabeth for the day of a shoot is expected to be 38°C or higher then:

It is suggested official club events be cancelled by the section. Where this is not practical, the start time should be changed to earlier in the day to allow a finish time before 11.30a.m, or the event be modified, for example changing match time restrains. Please contact your section captain to confirm that the match will be cancelled.

General Sighting in activities on the Main Range under Range Officer Supervision will only operate between 10:00am and 12:30pm. As the main range is closed sighting in activities for Wednesday and Thursday this week will be cancelled.
