My man .henderson_ results in his first 5 weeks working with SmashFit.

When first starting, James’ initial goal was to prioritise fat loss first. So we did exactly that.

Over 5 weeks, he has already managed to drop 4.5kg.

To lose 4.5kg in 5 weeks, is a great effort, however what makes this most impressive, is the fact that we used sustainable measures to do so. James didn’t need to starve himself, nor did he need to eat grass salads every day.

Here’s how he did it;
✅Followed a nutrition protocol that worked around his lifestyle
✅Enjoyed the entire process
✅Put in the daily reps
✅Train hard & smart
✅Reached out for support whenever an obstacle came up
✅Understands this as a long-term plan, not a quick fix.

It’s that damn simple

❌You don’t need to follow restrictive diet plans that you don’t enjoy.

5 Reasons Why You Haven’t Achieved a What You Want

You know to build muscle & strength you need to train structured and consistent.

For best results, it’s also best to consume calories in a surplus.

You know in order to lose weight, you must be in a calorie deficit, consuming an amount of calories that’s less than you burn.

I’ve given you the answer. That’s how you achieve the physique goal you’re after.

So why haven’t you achieved that?

Why do you even need a coach if you know what to do?

1️⃣You’re not motivated/committed

You might find “motivation” for a few weeks, then once you fall off the wagon, you stay off.

The powerful impact that poor nutrition & a negative mindset has on your results

Here’s a rough two year difference from myself

On the left, you’re looking at a bloke who trained as hard as anyone. Would go nuts in the gym & worked his ass off.
However, he got Uber eats 2-3x per week, did not take control of his nutrition, and wondered “Why isn’t this working?”

“Why is my body looking the same?”

“Why aren’t I progressing in the gym?”

This got me extremely frustrated, as I wasn’t sure what my next move would be.

This negatively impacted my mindset.
I constantly experienced negative self talk such as “this will never work for me”
I felt s**t about myself & the foods I was eating didn’t help that either

I knew my nutrition wasn’t on point, but I didn’t know how to change.

So I educated myself through various coaches & mentors, and understood what worked specifically for ME.

Then, I realised the powerful synergy between training hard, eating well & practicing positive thinking is somewhat amazing.

The Most Common Mistake You Can Make That Is Destroying Your Goals.

If you’re reading this, chances are you want to maximise your results.

I’ll get straight to the point.

The number one mistake I believe many people make is…

👉Thinking that training alone will get them the result they want.

I know this is a bold statement given SmashFit is big on the training side of things

But let me explain.

1️⃣If you have a particular physique goal, such as losing fat or building muscle, then training is only an ingredient to that.

Your nutrition will LARGELY dictate how your physique looks.

So if you’re training the house down, but then eating like a pig outside of the gym, you’re missing the point.

2️⃣ If you’re recovery is inadequate, such as low sleep quality & duration, as well as high amounts of stress, then this will directly impact your training.

You don’t get stronger from lifting weights. You get stronger RECOVERING from lifting weights.

So if you’re not effectively recovering from your workouts, training almost becomes pointless.

3️⃣If you’re training just to feel good, to help boost positivity in your thinking & every day life, and you hit a wall, what happens then?
Sure, training is important, and can provide many health benefits, as well as leave you feeling good after a session.

But that might only be for a few hours a week.

If you train, but then outside the gym you continue to think negative & feel down, is training the answer to that?

This is why training is only an ingredient to your success.

There Are Going To Be Day’s When You’re Not Feeling It

This is an absolute given.

It’s impossible to be motivated at 100% every minute of every day.

So, if that’s an impossible task, why would you rely on motivation?

Why would you wait for motivation?

I don’t train because I am motivated.

Most of my clients don’t train because their motivated.

🔥They train, because training is apart of their routine.

🔥They train, because it is a habit to them, that they don’t think twice about doing

🔥They train, because they understand WHY they train.

🔥They train, because they have an end goal & will stop at nothing to get there

🔥They train, because the benefits of training for them are endless.

Regardless of external circumstances, they train, in any way shape or form, at home or in a gym, because they are doing the best possible thing during their current situation.

Super proud of my SmashFit family & what they have been able to achieve this year. The growth I’ve seen across the board goes way beyond the results in the gym.
