Diamond Valley Little Athletics Providing Athletics skills development and competition programs for children ages 5-16

Diamond Valley Little Athletics Centre provides activities to develop athletics skills through an appropriate mix of non-competitive skill development activities, modified competition events and full competition based programs for children aged between 5 and 15 years. These activities also provide opportunity for the social interaction of children and adults alike, in an environment that encourages active parent participation whilst promoting healthy lifestyles.

Huge congrats to Georgia and Fletcher Walters for strutting their stuff at the Little Athletics Winter Race Walking Championships at Middle Park! In conditions more akin to cross country both tackled the 2km race like pros, especially against those older speed demons. And Fletcher, you snatched victory from your sister by a whole 5 seconds - guess sibling rivalry really does get the competitive juices flowing!
Look forward to you both leading the charge when our 60th season kicks off in September!

CROSS COUNTRY WEEK 4
Saw us travel to Edwards Lake Park and our hosts Preston Reservoir for what was a VERY windy and hence chilly morning of competition. PRLAC set challenging courses which tested the athletes but as always DVLAC rose to the occasion and put in some excellent results across all age groups. Our U11/12 boys and girls have been our biggest group and really led the way for the team. Thank you to Preston Reservoir Little Athletics for a well run morning.
Week 5 sees us head to Coburg to be followed by us for Week 6 at Bundoora Park.
Stay tuned for more impressive photos from our resident photographer

CROSS COUNTRY WEEK 3
Hosted by Essendon LAC we had cool but still conditions for the first course that had hill climbs to challenge all the athletes and their stamina. Our U12 boys had a terrific day filling 6 of the first 10 positions!
Again stay tuned for the professional shots to come.
Next week we see our teams compete in the State X Country Relay championships so no normal cross country - you can sleep in 😁

EXTENDING HEARTFELT THANKS TO OUR VOLUNTEERS
As we commemorate National Volunteer Week, we wish to express our deepest appreciation to every single volunteer, from our Centre and Club Committees to those who lend a helping hand with enthusiasm at weekly competitions. The summer season brings an impressive 500 hours of volunteering each week to our Centre, a truly remarkable feat. The spirit of volunteering is the lifeblood of community sport and at DVLAC, we are deeply thankful for the unwavering dedication of each and every one of our volunteers. Thank you
