G`day Troops, an update with what's been happening behind the scenes. As a lot of you may know our senior driver had spent nearly 40 years racing across several divisions but always with the number 27, on his return to Supermod racing the number 27 wasn't available and so 27x was born but now due to a change of circumstances 27 is now available, this will allow the old boy to race his remaining seasons and retire under the much loved 27.
27x will officially become Dudes number for him to campaign under for the rest of his racing career.
To celebrate the return of 27, Wildcard have contacted the extremely talented Emma at EB Graphics to design a new run of crew shirts.
If you would like one of these truly amazing shirts as a fashion statement or to just stand out in the crowd, Wildcard have utilised EB Graphics web store for you to order direct, no minimum numbers, can order as many as you like, in all kids, ladies and mens sizes up to 9XL this allows you to purchase shirts at the same price plus $3 admin fee and postage as we do, looking forward to seeing some awesomely dressed crew on race days, or out shopping, having a couple of quiet ones at the local, or anywhere in general you see fit to wear these amazing shirts

G`day Troops,
last Saturday seen the Wildcard crew venture to Geraldton to support and pay homage to one of our own in the Paul Taylor Memorial.
A strong field of 18 cars nominated creating the need for split heats, with a 9 car field in his first heat and starting in pole Dude lead the race from flag to flag fending off all challengers to take the win
Heat 2 seen Dude start out of position 4 in a 9 car field with some great side by side action with other drivers seen him make up 2 positions to finish in 2nd
Heat 3 starting out of position 6 on what was now becoming a challenging race surface seen Dude maneuvered the 27x machine through the field to make up 3 positions and finish in 3rd
Qualifying 3rd highest points put Dude out of position 3 for the feature, in the opening lap entering turn 3 a mechanical issue seen the throttle stick wide open causing the car to spin, Dude managed to wrestle with the linkages and get the throttle to return, the restart seen Dude starting from the rear and on acceleration out of turn 4 the throttle once again jammed wide open causing Dude to pull it out of gear and shut it down pulling up on the infield not wanting to take a chance of damaging our car or somebody else`s, with 15 cars starting the feature and only 3 finishing turned out to be a really smart decision.
The car went back in the transporter straight and with a couple of minor repairs will be ready for Bunbury in 3 weeks.
With his first drive of the season returning some great results, car coming home straight, we had an awesome week end.
Well Done Dude

G'day Troops as some of you may know the Wildcard stable has purchased the 37 car of Rhino Fishers from Northampton after discussions and debate with our junior pilot we have decided to make a couple of minor changes to the car along with new paint job and new number and campaign it the for the rest of the southern season, allowing us to spell the 27x Shaw built car for some much needed love and maintenance, as the 27x car has served us honestly and reliably for over 10 years will believe it's earnt a major overhaul.
What this space for the arrival of the 72 car

G'day Troops, well what a weekend ! Left for race meeting in Morowa on Friday was scheduled to arrive around 5.30 but due to late start and electrical gremlins along the way arrived at midnight
Preped race car ready for meeting Saturday afternoon, all good to go, lined up in dummy grid warming engine ready for first heat and HEI distributor failed, unfortunately spare was at home, so no racing for us.
Sunday morning getting ready to head home and discovered we had shredded an inside drive tyre on Friday night.
We need to give a huge shoutout to Zac, Brad (Boof) and Mitch, these young fellas jumped in and lent a hand with racecar and sorting tyres out on the transporter
Speaking of young fellas Zac and Samuel in their first race meeting did themselves proud with great driving and brillant track sense all night, the star of the night was Kane Beaver in his second ever race meeting was passing cars and earned himself a 3rd place podium finish. Our youngest and newest drivers making their mark, is great to see the future of our sport is in good hands.
Congrats to Bingy and Mick Reynolds for the 1st and 2nd placings, all in all was an enjoyable week end

G'day Troops, a quick update with what's been happening behind the scenes here at Wildcard Motorsports, as most of you will know our regular push bike rider is getting a bit long in the tooth, and at times getting his leg over the quad has been an effort due to back problems, so after a team meeting it was decided we should have a side by side buggy to make life a bit easier for the ol fella, after viewing several sizes and models and with one of our youngest team members Joesph ( 6 ) having the final say we have purchased a new CFMOTO Uforce 1000, some of you may have seen it at Narrogin a few weeks ago for its madein voyage, and today it's just come back from the sign writer, as always an awesome job from Brad at ON2IT graphics
A new baby, a new buggy, hoping the rest of the season is as great as the start.
Now to put a mounting bolt for Astrids baby capsule in the buggy and all will be good , ( think Mum and Dad might have different thoughts 😁😁 )

We congratulate April and Dude and wish them and their growing family, health and every happiness for the future

Happy Australia Day Troops, 2025 has started out well for the Wildcard crew, good consistant laps in the heats and the features at Bunbury over the 2 nights seen the 27x machine finish 4th on both nights
A challenging track at Manji and a determination to finish well in the Maria Beaver memorial, an event that is special to us seen Dude lift his game to finish 2nd in the feature
With all the new found enthusiasm and drive, we have decided it is time to refresh everything at Wildcard including our crew shirts, we contacted Barry at CB Graphix, told him what we wanted something bright colourful that was out there, in your face type of stuff that reflected us at Wildcard, and Barry has not disappointed us, check out the final proof, we will definitely stand out in the crowd

Presentaions

19/01/2025

G'day Troops, hope everyone has had a happy and a healthy festive season.

We at Wildcard would like to welcome our new sponsor S**g Brewing in Donnybrook, when in the area call in and see Leeane and the team at S**g for great range of ciders and delicious wholesome meals to satisfy everybody's taste buds, let Leanne know you follow and support Wildcard Motorsports and they'll look after you.

The New Year has seen Dude back in the pilot seat of the 27x machine with a couple of steller performances firstly at Bunbury supporting the Legend Car National Title, over the two nights good consistant driving had him qualify in good positions and finishing a creditable 4th twice in both features over the 2 nights of racing.

Last night we competed in the first ever Maria Beaver Memorial at Manjimup an event dedicated to a lady that had touched and made a difference to so many people's lives and was taken way too soon.
On a challenging track with a field of 9 seen a 3rd in the first heat, 3rd in second heat and DNF in the 3rd heat due to a peeled right rear tyre, qualifying in position 4 for the feature over 15 laps.
Hard consistent laps seen the 27x machine running in 4th until the 12 car of Boga's spun to infield, a couple of laps later a battle for 2nd with the 20 car of Maria Beaver being driven by her husband Lance ensured with Dude picking the right line to take the position finishing in 2nd behind the 47 car of Wayne Bingham.
Congrats to Bingy for the win and Lance for the 3rd it was an honour and a privilege for us to be part of this event to remember a lady that was so special to us.

Stay safe, Stay well
