The Hinchinbrook Hornets would like to ask our community to rally behind one of our Under 15s Assistant Coaches, Aidan Paterson.
Many of you may know Aidan from around the Wests Juniors competition. Having been involved in junior rugby league since the age of 4, this year marked an exciting new chapter as he stepped into coaching and began giving back to the game he has loved for so many years.
Recently, Aidan was diagnosed with a rare skull-base cancer known as a chordoma. While he has already undergone one major surgery, further surgery is required in the coming weeks before he can begin the next stage of his treatment journey, which is expected to include proton therapy.
As Aidan and his family prepare for the challenges ahead, we are asking our Hornets family and the wider rugby league community to show their support. Any donation, no matter how small, will help ease the financial burden associated with medical treatment, travel, accommodation and time away from work.
