Bit of a recap from the National Title 👇🏼

Not a whole lot to write home about early on — we struggled most of the weekend trying to get a handle on the car. It wasn’t until the B Main that we finally found a bit of pace… turns out a bit of cowboy tuning does the trick when you forget the laptop 😂

The heats didn’t go our way at all. We just couldn’t do anything on a hooked-up, hammer-down track and it showed.

Come B Main time though, the car came alive. We rolled off from P17 and started working our way forward, picking cars off one by one running the bottom. Managed to get up to P7, although we lost one spot on the last lap finishing P8.

All in all, a solid learning curve and something to build on moving forward 💪🏼

I’ve been slack with updates this weekend at the national modified sedan title, not a whole lot to report we’ve lacked car speed all weekend with the little motor just not liking the hooked up hammer down conditions we’ve had. But we’ve got our final day today so we will just keep persisting and see where we end up 🤷🏼‍♂️

Things have been pretty quiet on our end lately after our last planned outing at the Dirt Dash in Gladstone was unfortunately rained out 🌧️

But the car hasn’t gone far — we’ve left everything in Rockhampton so we’re ready to roll for our next run at Rockhampton Speedway on the 28th of March as we prep for the National Title 🏁

🏁 SPONSOR APPRECIATION POST 🏁

Huge shoutout to one of our newest sponsors Luke Davis Mechanical for getting the Falcon dialled in on the tune. Even if it meant a couple of late-night dyno runs at 2am 😂

Luke had the Tune tidied up before the Royal, then wanted it back in to give it another tickle on the dyno and we’ve already seen some solid power gains. There’s still a couple of little things to sort out, but it’ll be heading back again soon as we keep chasing more power 💪🏼

Well tonight was definitely eventful to say the least, results definitely haven’t been great but with this being the first chance to try get some setup in the car. We definitely can’t complain, genuinely can’t thank everyone enough that chipped in after we realised to help out, the support and help is definitely appreciate. After the fly wheel coming loose after the 2nd heat there was a mad scramble to get the gearbox out to get it sorted and we somehow made the 3rd heat, full heat race recap to come Sunday prior to dash races starting

Well today’s the day! Night 1 of the kings royal here at Kingaroy Speedway, cars been dynoed thanks to the guys at rouge performance. Cars been scaled, massive thank you to our sponsor Wicked Industries Custom Shop for the use of the scales. Few little bits and pieces to do this morning before we roll over the scrutineering pad with it where hopefully it’ll be all sweet.

After what’s possibly been one of the toughest months of our lives, we haven’t let it get us down. We’ve kept pushing towards our goal of making the Royal, and it’s been a massive effort from everyone involved.

So here it is — the new-look South Burnett 66 Modified Sedan. It might not be a high-dollar car or the fastest out there, but we’re here to have a go, and that’s what matters most.

Fingers crossed the gremlins are sorted and we can roll into a trouble-free weekend. Huge thanks to boyd at Pace Graphix for fitting the wrap at 4pm on Sunday just before we hit the road.

Now after being approached by the South Burnett club we’re proud to say the car, will be in Kingaroy shopping centre on display to advertise the kings royal.

Safe to say we’re pretty keen to get back to America and rip the old Victory Sport Mod around again 👌🏼

We built some solid momentum toward the end of the last trip and are excited to carry that into the next one.
