We’re growing our team at A Stroke Ahead Swimming, and we’re looking for some wonderful people to join us.

Maybe you’re a parent ready to return to work. Maybe you’re a school student looking for an after-school job, a school leaver wondering what’s next, or someone who simply loves working with children and wants a job that feels rewarding.

Whatever your stage of life, we’d love to hear from you.

At A Stroke Ahead, we’re more than just a swim school. We’re a close-knit team who support each other, have a laugh, celebrate the little wins and genuinely care about the children and families who walk through our doors. There’s something pretty special about watching a child go from being scared of the water to swimming independently—and knowing you helped make that happen.

We have two types of positions available:

🌙 Afternoon & Evening Instructors
Perfect for school students, school leavers or anyone looking for after-school hours. You must be available to work 4pm–8pm, we can be flexible with days but being available Friday would be an advantage.

☀️ Day Shift Instructors
A great opportunity for parents returning to work or anyone looking for daytime hours. You must be available to work 9am–3pm, including Fridays.

What we’re looking for:
✨ A genuine love of working with children
✨ Reliability, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
✨ Someone who enjoys being part of a team
✨ A willingness to learn and grow
✨ Experience is wonderful, but the right attitude matters just as much

You don’t need to have your whole career figured out. If you’re interested in becoming a swim instructor, we’d love to talk to you about the pathway and training involved.

To commence employment, you will need a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) and current CPR certification.

If you’re looking for a workplace where you can build confidence, make friends, learn new skills and finish your shift knowing you’ve made a difference, we’d love to meet you.

YOU HAVEN’T MISSED OUT… BUT YOU’RE CLOSE. 👀

Our timetable has filled quickly, but we still have a handful of spaces available across selected programs.

Right now, we have availability in:

🩵 Baby swimming lessons
🏊 Squads
⚡ Stroke correction
💦 Plus limited spaces in selected learn-to-swim classes

If you’ve been thinking, “I really need to get them into swimming…” — this is the nudge.

We deliberately keep our classes small, so when a class reaches capacity, we don’t just add another swimmer.

And with the warmer months ahead, those remaining spaces won’t stay empty for long.

You haven’t missed the boat. But don’t leave it much longer. 😉

🌊 Thinking about swimming lessons for summer? Don’t wait until September.

It might still feel like winter outside, but every year we see the same thing…

As soon as the weather starts warming up, enquiries increase dramatically. By September, many of our classes are already full, and families often miss out or find themselves on a waitlist.

Our after-school classes are now almost at capacity, with only a handful of places remaining.

We do still have vacancies in:

💙 Toddler lessons
💙 Stroke Correction
💙 Squads

However, even these classes are filling quickly as families plan ahead for spring and summer.

The best part? You don’t have to wait for warmer weather. Our heated indoor pool and warm, comfortable change rooms mean it’s like stepping into the tropics as soon as you walk through the door!

Many of you know about the second arm to ASAS! But in case you don’t- we now offer pool servicing and pool supplies from our new shop directly opposite ASAS! Please reach out to your friends and family with pools and tell them to give us a call or a message! Avoid using out of town suppliers and service businesses - support local where you can.
