No judgment—just real movement, fresh air, and a supportive tribe of strong women. At Fitness In The Park we take a wholistic approach to fitness as we believe that being “FIT” involves being healthy physically, emotionally and mentally. We are passionate about the whole person and believe you amount to far more than a number on a scale or a tape measure reading. We believe in encouraging and moti
vating women in a fun and inspiring way and whenever we can it involves a good dose of Vitamin D from being outdoors and a laugh along the way. Fitness In The Park is passionate about providing fitness to women who don’t feel that they fit the image, or feel uncomfortable attending normal gyms. I have clients who have told me up front when they start that they hate exercising, so my challenge and goal has always been to bring the “FUN” back into fitness through fitness games and as a result we not only work up a sweat, we laugh lots. I provide challenging fitness sessions where women can train together, with their kids right there with them (which makes our sessions accessible for new mums), outdoors whenever possible (but indoors when needed). We have been able to build an amazing sense of community where women have become friends, their kids have found new friends too and all the women become a support to each other. Holistically the combination of exercising, which releases serotonin (happy chemicals to combat depression), sunlight for Vitamin D, socialisation to combat isolation for new mums, and getting stronger and fitter not just physically but mentally and emotionally has proven to be a winning formula with the women that I have had the pleasure to train. I have been a qualified fitness and personal trainer since 2000 and I am passionate about keeping my skills fresh and up to date.
