Mt Penang parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am in Mt Penang Parklands, Kariong NSW, Australia. Mt Penang Parklands is conveniently located 1 hour north of Sydney and two minutes from the Gosford exit off the F3

Mt Penang parkrun is FREE and open to people of all standards and ages, both as volunteers and as runners / walker

s. We encourage people of every ability to take part, from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians, from juniors 5 years or older to those with decades of experience. All runners receive encouragement and enjoy being part of a community event open to all standards. Equally, our volunteer teams come from a huge variety of backgrounds and we urge everybody to get involved in organising their local events at least 3 times per year.

๐™’๐™๐™ฎ ๐™ˆ๐™ฉ ๐™‹๐™š๐™ฃ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™œ? We first heard about parkrun through a friend in Newcastle and the local Newspaper ๐Ÿ“ฐwith Mt Penang being the closest.

๐–๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ ๐จ๐ญ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐จ ๐๐š๐ซ๐ค๐ซ๐ฎ๐ง? Trev wanted to do it so I just volunteered a few times to start with then finally started doing the walking later to try and get fitter so I could walk further when on holidays.๐Ÿ’ช

๐…๐š๐ฏ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ž ๐•๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ž๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐š๐ง๐ ๐–๐ก๐ฒ? I don't mind any really except I will not do Finish Tokens. The thought of giving tokens to wrong person would worry me.๐Ÿฅน

๐€๐Ÿ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐๐š๐ซ๐ค๐ซ๐ฎ๐ง, ๐ˆ ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐ง๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ž๐ž๐ค๐ž๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ ....After parkrun I usually come home and listen to Trev dissecting his results ๐Ÿ˜‚ and planning where we could go on holidays to to do more parkruns as we are retired and found this a great way to see some of the places we would normally drive through. ๐Ÿš–
