🏃‍♀️💙💛 WE NEED YOU! Our club runs because of our amazing volunteers! 💛💙🏃‍♂️

Behind every competition night, every athlete on the track and every opportunity our kids have to participate, there’s a team of volunteers making it happen. 🙌

We’re currently looking for some extra helping hands in a few key roles:

📝 Grants Assistant – help our grant writers by gathering quotes and keeping information organised.

📣 Age Manager Co-Ordinator – be the link between our Age Managers and the Committee, helping keep everyone informed and supported.

🤝 Parent Helper Co-Ordinator – help organise parents and families to share the weekly jobs like set-up, pack-up and BBQ.

You don’t need to be an athletics expert, and you certainly don’t need to do it all yourself! ❤️

These roles are about sharing the load, supporting our volunteers and helping create more opportunities for our athletes.

✨ Small steps. Big possibilities. ✨

As we get ready for the 2026/27 season, it’s time to make sure our Gosford athletes are competition-ready! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

A few important uniform reminders 👇

👕 Club singlet or crop top must be worn for all competitions
🩳 Black shorts — no logos or stripes
👟 Footwear — runners and trainers can be worn by all athletes
🏷️ Registration number must be displayed on the front of the singlet/crop top
⭐ Coles age patch can now be worn on either side
🏃 Spikes can ONLY be worn by athletes U11+

Getting ready for the 2026/27 season? 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Come and see us TONIGHT, Friday 11 September, from 6:00pm–7:30pm at Gosford Little Athletics Club!

It’s the perfect chance to:
🏅 Collect your athlete’s bib
👕 Purchase and be fitted for club uniforms
💬 Ask any questions before the season gets underway
🙌 Catch up with the club and get organised for another great season!

Trialists do not need to attend these events, simply come along early on our first trial night - 25th September and we will help you get ready to be part of the fun!

🌭 BBQ Volunteers – Just ONE shift over the season would be enormously appreciated. It’s only around 1 hour of your time, but it makes a huge difference to the club! Register your interest/date tonight.

👟 Age Managers – We’re still looking for volunteers to help support our age groups throughout the season. No experience is needed — just a willingness to get involved and help our athletes have a great time.

These sessions are for YOU! 🙌

Central Coast Zone Athletics is running a series of relaxed Officials Training Afternoons and we’d love to see people from across our clubs getting involved.

And before you think “But I don't want to be an official every weekend!” — you don't have to! 😂

👉 This is about expanding your knowledge, learning how events work and giving you the confidence to lend a hand when you can.

Athletics is run by volunteers, and many hands make light work — and shorter shifts! 🙌

👋 WHO IS IT FOR?

Anyone aged 14+ who would like to learn more about officiating and different events.

You don't need any previous experience and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, have a go and learn in a relaxed environment.

💡 For our 14-18 year-olds: At actual competitions, anyone aged 14-18 would be paired with an experienced official, so you'll never be expected to do it alone.

📍 Mingara Athletics Track

🥏 27 September — THROWS
📍 Gosford

If you're coming along to learn, bring your athletes with you and they can get some extra practice in while you learn the ropes.
