Central Coast Table Tennis Association

Central Coast Table Tennis Association Welcome to the Central Coast Table Tennis Association. We provide quality Table Tennis on the Central Coast

The Central Coast Table Tennis Association was formed in 1954 from surrounding smaller localised competitions including Brisbane Water, The Entrance and Wyong. It quickly became the major association in the district. Competitions were originally run at the Sea Breeze café in Umina Beach and over the years has moved from the East Gosford Progress Hall, the sports hall at Henry Kendall High School a

nd is currently located at the Niagara Park Stadium (formerly known as the Central Coast Youth Club). On different occasions games have been played at venues such as the Gosford Packing House, Bullions Boat Shed, Ettalong, Kariong Boys Home and Baker Park Tennis complex at Wyong. The association covers both the Gosford and Wyong shires and currently has over 160 members. Competition has grown to four grades with the association having 24 international standard tables. The association plays on Thursday nights and holds three competitions a year plus a closed championship. The association has hosted the NSW Country Championships and the NSW City versus Country tournaments, the 2010 NSW Open and the 2010 Australian Open.

Thursday we returned to action following the Country Championships, with plenty of chatter amongst players from the weekends games.
In more positive news, this week brought new lighting to the stadium with Central Coast Council installing brand new LED lights to the stadium. This has brought significant improvement to playing conditions across the 3 rows of tables.
Thank you to the Council, and Niagara Park Stadium.

On behalf of the Central Coast Committee and members, I would like to extend a huge thank you to Richard Melrose & Harry MacDougall for the work they did in preparation for our club and the smooth running of the Country Championships.

Those playing in the tournament commended the event and energy in the hall, a testament to the hard work that went on behind the scenes.

Richard, in his first year as Country President showed why he was a great choice for the position. Thank you to Richard and the whole Country Table Tennis Association Committee for another outstanding tournament.

Big thank you to Country Table Tennis NSW for putting on the weekend, Central Coast Council and Niagara Park stadium for hosting it once again, and lastly the volunteers for setting up on Friday and packing up this afternoon. It is always such a great event to hold at our club each year.
