🏉 SCHOOL HOLIDAY FOOTY FUN IS COMING TO WATSONS OVAL! 🏉

Looking for an action-packed day these school holidays? Join us on Thursday 1 October for our AFL School Holiday Camp at Watsons Oval!

📅 Date: 1 October
⏰ Time: 9:00am – 3:00pm
💲 Cost: $55 per participant

Whether you’re new to footy or already love the game, we’ve got a program to suit every young footballer:

⭐ Cick to register to the Auskick Holiday Camp (4–6 years)

⭐ Click to register to the Superkick Holiday Camp (7–12 years)

💜 ALL GIRLS GROUPS AVAILABLE in both Auskick and Superkick programs, providing a fun, inclusive and supportive environment for girls to learn, play and build confidence with our female staff.

Expect a day full of games, skills, challenges, giveaways, new friendships and plenty of footy fun!

The Gordonvale Suns Junior AFL Club is saddened to hear about the vandalism of the Red Bench at the Gordonvale Scout Group.
This bench is more than just a seat. It stands as a symbol of remembrance, reflection and awareness for victims of domestic and family violence, and was created through the hard work and dedication of a young community member.
Acts like this impact more than just property. They affect the people, volunteers and organisations who work hard to make Gordonvale a stronger, safer and more connected community.
If anyone has information that may assist the Scouts, please reach out to them directly.

We are incredibly honoured to be recognised as the winners of the 2026 AFL Cairns Community Engagement Award.

The Gordonvale Suns may be a small club, but we’re a club with a big heart. Community has always been at the centre of everything we do. Whether it’s creating opportunities for kids to play footy, supporting families, welcoming new members, developing female participation, or bringing people together, our focus has always been about more than football.

This award belongs to our players, parents, volunteers, coaches, sponsors and supporters who continue to give their time, energy and passion to make our club what it is.

The Gordonvale Suns Junior AFL Club will be at the Aloomba Hotel this Saturday selling meat tray raffle tickets from 1:45pm, with draws starting from approximately 3:30pm.

🚗 Classic Car Show on the day
🍻 cold drinks, and a fantastic community atmosphere

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Sugar Solstice Festival Parade such a great success for the Gordonvale Suns Junior AFL Club.

From the planning and preparation to decorating, organising, and representing our club on parade day, we truly appreciate every volunteer, player, parent, family member, and supporter who contributed their time and effort.
