I have been teaching the Year 3–6 students at Summerland Christian over the past couple of weeks, and today is our final day before the new students arrive.

I have been so impressed with how quickly they have picked up the game, as well as the spirit in which it is played. Coaching children of this age is such a rewarding part of my job.

We have been using the approach of starting slowly and finishing strongly, and the rallies they have been having certainly show the benefits of this method.

Today, we held a little competition. I put together a couple of prize packs for first and second place, along with plenty of chocolates for everyone to enjoy.

Well done to all the students—you should be very proud of your progress!
