You know the goal. You see it. You want it.
But, you didn't realise how hard it can feel..
You didn't realise how long it would take. You want it now...

You have this idea in your head that when you reach X, you will be happier, healthier, leaner, stronger, fitter... and it may all be true, but can I ask you, have you ever been this new version of yourself before? The answer is No... so, be patient, enjoy the process, take it one day at a time, one decision at a time.

Track your progress (not just the size and shape of your body) - track the weight you lift, how you sleep, how you feel, the energy you have 🩷

Speaking to someone a few days ago, and I tell them I am a PT... instantly, I could see the shift in their body language, the insecurity, and the fear of being judged... so I told them who I am, and why I do what I do... instantly, this person opened up, told me their story, and we felt connected... so, this is me...

A wife, a mum of 2, a business owner, and a lover of health and fitness... ok, let me elaborate...

When I was 29, I had the choice to go back to my full time admin job, or give this whole PT thing ago 🩷 within 3mths, through word of mouth, I was booked out and had to register my business as it could no longer be justified as a hobby... so why did I make the choice to do a complete 180°? ... because I was, am, insanely passionate about how focusing on our health and fitness, our bodies and mind as a whole, makes a huge impact on the way we see ourselves.

I have never been and will never be a trainer who forces you to fit into a box. I have never, and will never train you, encourage and support you with the soul focus of losing weight and posting pics to social media.

I am a mum, a wife, and in the cusp of entering my 40's in a few short years... I focus and encourage my clients and others to look at themselves now and enjoy the process. If you aren't happy with yourself now, what makes you believe you will be happy when you reach that end goal?

Does this mean we neglect your goals? No! Absolutely not! But it does mean looking at our lives, our abilities, focusing on what we can control, and letting go of the rest. It does mean we work hard and appreciate every accomplishment. It does mean we make small manageable changes regularly to fit our new lifestyle.

It does mean we have balance. We don't restrict food groups. We learn to love and appreciate food for what it is, fuel for our bodies.
I understand the difference between physical and mental fatigue, and we train accordingly.
I recognise the mental load, the self-doubt, and that inner voice telling us No.. I help my clients to love and appreciate themselves for all they are.

Ever found yourself thinking "today I am starting my health kick/diet/get fit" (whatever words you use to describe making a lifestyle change) and when making this statement, do you envision yourself suddenly "eating right", exercising 6 days a week, cutting out all "junk food", drinking only water, counting calories, including mindfulness, scheduling 30min to journal, starting a skin care routine, walking every day and so on?

Do you find that this works for a week or 2 (if your lucky) then BAM! you slept in, you decided you couldn't be bothered cooking for the fam and takeaway is the easiest option, you forgot to journal or didn't have the time, you loathe the idea of going for the gym, and a walk after work sounds exhausting so you give it a miss...

Simply put.. you Boomed and Busted!!! What we want to achieve is a lifestyle change, anything short of that and you are setting yourself up for failure 😫

Give yourself a break! You have spent the past 5, 10, 20 yrs creating a lifestyle out of daily habits that you may want to change.. so start small! Start with 1 or 2 easy to manage habits in your busy, stress filled lifestyle. Once you have mastered these habits, then add another 1 or 2. If you keep doing this, making small changes, focusing on the next step, not the end result, you will learn to appreciate the process more and before you know it, the weeks, months, even years will have gone by and you will have made the amazing changes to your lifestyle, and be living your next phase 🩷

Take a life admin... look at how much you are juggling, how it makes you feel... maybe there is some guilt around not being able to do all the things at once.. but, hey, your life admin is different to someone you may be taking health and fitness advice from. For example, your a mid 30s working mum, managing school and sporting events, taking care of the family, managing hormone changes, feeling fatigued and stressed, while trying to work, and maintain relationships.. its not the same as someone in their 20s, with more free time to themselves. So remember that, the next time you beat yourself up!

We are so much more than we give ourselves credit for!

I'm a mum, a wife, a friend, an aunt, a teacher, an accidental counsellor, a singer, a dancer, a lover, a fighter, a goof ball, a little wild, and a home body.

The most beautiful pieces of someone is what they are willing to show you 🩷

Everyone is unique. Everyone has a story to tell. Everyone has a reason why.

I became a PT because I became obsessed with how my health, physical and mental, changed when I started to learn more and put into action those lessons for myself.. I started to share my passion with others, and I could see how it helped, sometimes small ways, sometimes big. I had my PT Qualifications for nearly a year before I started SAPT. I studied not for a job prospect, but purely because I wanted to know more for myself. After the birth of my 2nd son, I decided to give PT a go, it was the best decision!... 7yrs has flown by!!! I have trained so many incredible people. Whether individuals, partner sessions, group sessions, and even kids.
Being a part of the process, and being able to help a person grow and see their potential, to love themselves for who they are.. is truly the best part of my "job".

Face-to-Face Sessions... Not just in person!

When COVID struck, I had to adapt... the introduction of Zoom and Online Coaching began!

I understand that in person face-to-face isn't for everyone, maybe it's a scheduling issue, maybe it's a distance issue.. whatever the reason, that's why I offer these online options.

So what's so great about Zoom sessions? Well, for 1, you get to do it in the comfort of your own home!

You have a trainer there with you, explaining exercises and having the program already created for you.

With online coaching, its fairly similar, except you work at your own pace, and you schedule your workouts with yourself. You have video exercises to follow along with.
Online coaching offers you personalised programs, whether you are training from home with minimal equipment or in a commercial gym. Programs are made to meet your goals and abilities.

I believe it is 100% possible to make a change when given the right tools 🩷

After almost a year off from face-to-face, I'm so excited to announce that I'm Back!!!

The past few years have been a whirlwind of changes.. the flood, moving, training out of a commercial gym, starting a new day time job and all the stresses that go along with it.

But now! Face-to-Face PT is back, full-time!!! I'm so excited to have our space back, our space that is private and ready for you! To bring back that fun, friendly, energetic atmosphere. The space where many clients felt at home, and goals were achieved 💪
