🕯️Light Will Win 🕯️

Today, we pause as a nation to remember the 15 lives lost at a Chanukah by the Sea event at Bondi Beach last month.

🤍 On this National Day of Mourning, we stand with the Bondi community and Australia’s Jewish community. We honour the victims, acknowledge the families and loved ones who continue to grieve, and recognise the bravery of first responders and those who acted with courage in the most harrowing circumstances.

⏰ At 7.01pm tonight, we encourage our community to observe the national minute’s silence and to reflect on the theme “Light will win” ✨ — choosing kindness, inclusion and care for one another.

Our thoughts are with everyone impacted. May we continue to look after each other and stand firmly against hatred in all its forms 🩵 🧡

🚫 Please be mindful that we have zero tolerance for violence at our centre. Any threats, aggression or violent behaviour may result in police attendance.

🤍 All staff members and pool users deserve respect. If you’re feeling upset or concerned, please let us know in a calm and respectful manner and we’ll work with you to resolve it.

The team at Goomeri Pool is deeply saddened by the recent violent attack at Bondi Beach, and we extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones of those who lost their lives.

We stand in solidarity with the Bondi community and with all those affected by this tragic event. During times like these, we are reminded of the importance of kindness, compassion, and looking out for one another.
