The last race for the season was the Memorial Day race sponsored by Coorong Cruises.
5 boats took to the river not before a glass of bubbles was enjoyed to acknowledge members no longer with us.
Commodore Randal set an ambitious course (see drawing below), which had to be shortened when the wind dropped out.
On handicap 3rd place went to Leeuwin, 2nd Mambo Queen and 1st place to Nereid.
A well attended end of year celebration was held at Imbiss on the Elbow. Thank you to our hosts Nick & Marteena! A great night and great food.

Thanks to Sailing Australia, there is now an online space to record evidence of all of those Goolwa-to-Milangs, trips to the Snakepit, Narrung and Rat Island races that have been carefully archived in Geoff Byrnes's scrapbooks. Little by little we can add images and anecdotes that may eventually form a book.
