Capital Scuba Club is planning a dive at either in Shellharbour at the Gravel Loader (possibility of seeing giant cuttlefish) or Bawley Point on the 2nd of July 2022. This will depend on the weather and the swells. Please let me know if you are interested and available. I will follow up with more details closer to the date.

Great videos as always.

I take underwater footage while scuba diving. People doing an open water scuba course (or other scuba-related learning) can hire me to take footage of them doing their skills and what they see while underwater.

Hi divers. Andrew here. Just wanted to share an update with you all. I have had to hang up my regs and put diving behind me.

2 weeks ago I suffered a pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lungs). I still have a collapsed lower lobe of the left lung and am now only suffering discomfort and some difficulty breathing. I am on a strong dose of blood thinners and will remain on that medication for life. I can feel the clots are starting to resolve but it is going to be a long journey. The medication and damage to my lungs will prevent me from diving again.

On of the risk factors that I have is that what happened cannot be attributed to anything - no recent flights or surgery or traumas. And they don’t believe it was caused by the AZ jabs. And no, diving didn’t cause it either!!!!

I am in the great care of a haematologist in Brisbane and he is committed to finding out why this has happened and preventing a recurrence.

My last dive will be most memorable for me. It was at Lady Musgrave Island on my 60th birthday. And we had 2 awesome manta rays put on a show.

As you can imagine I am heartbroken about not being able to dive again. But I am glad to be alive.

Carolyn has been my absolute rock and so supportive. But she did say that I wasn’t allowed to sell her dive gear!
